OMG  I'm so lucky that I checked my bank account today and managed to avoid becoming overdrawn! By a whole £7.63:rolleyes:

    Phew.

Well I chose my 2 paint colours and of course B*Q didn't have them in so we went for some other ones and now half my bedroom is pink! PINK!!!!! If anyone has an easy way to de-pink a room I'm all ears. (without repainting it 300 times of course)

I've listed 20 meals just from what's in the kitchen so the grocery bill should stabilise soon.

And A*L wrote to me confirming that my fixed rate of 5.44 finishes end of February and I go onto the SVR at 4.99% which means that my payments drop £45 a month, or would if I don't call them and get it upped to £700 :)

Just a quick post to say that me and DH have decided to definitely get the house double glazed this year. We're going to be borrowing the money from Dad and paying him back.

It means that the budget is even more important than ever! So I'm going to rejig what I can and get the gardening books out to see what I can get started now.

I'd really like to put any 'excess' half towards OPing and half towards the windows. and we've still got our holidays, hen parties, stag parties, birthdays, curtains, mattress etc

_pale_ Ohhhh, I've got scared butterflies now

I am looking forward to having less than five layers on smf2 :rotfl:

I refrained from popping into the shops yesterday and instead made a scrummy store-cupboard tea :) Going to be lazy and just have beans on toast tonight after swimming and before going to the cinema.

  • Hello Sml

Well done on all your achievments - possibly not the pink bedroom though:p.

I'm sure the new windows will be worth it, you should see a significant difference in heat control

Shall I take a picture of the room when finished so you can approve my colours? Perhaps we could have a vote whether to keep the pink or not. The only way of easily de-pinking seems to be ragging which I'm not sure about (memories of rooms and rooms of ragged walls in the 90's)

Oh my - ragging, I'd forgotten all about that. We really did have nothing to do in those days did'nt we? Now we have our priorities right and spend all day on the net.:rotfl:

  • Ha ha ha... How did we survive before the net and MSE? Given the choice bw broadband and a TV license, it'd be broadband every time :)
