don't worry about the heating...i think that you have gone above and beyond the call of duty lasting this long without it!!! :A

Thanks frazzmunch. We're off to a halloween party tonight so I'll be enjoying someone else central heating tonight! :D

Have done well this week with NSD's but broke the 'fast' today. Bought some Xmas pressies and a big tub of sweets from Tesco.

I've seperated the sweets into ones for the kids (that i don't like) ones that the family like (for xmas) and one bag that can be colour layered in a jar (for Xmas too) For £7.50 its not too bad and certainly bulks out the pressies. :T

Hope everyone has a good weekend, halloween and fireworks if you're at the Cheltenham racecourse!

I went as an evil gypsy complete with hung chicken and black spots to give out. Was a good night.

Course you can be on my pressie list frazzmunch. Careful you don't make yourself ill with all those sweets!

Wasn't feeling very well this weekend with sore throat and so decided to kill the germs with excessive amouts of alchol on Sat night. Got soaked at the fireworks and walking back to the flat  But only spent £15 so least my wallets not empty!

Have now got full blown cold now thou _pale_ Feeling miserable for myself.

Dollar has gone up to 1.58 which is 0.03 better - but better is good!

Action plan at the mo is get through the day then go home, wrap up and sort through the kitchen to make a shopping list.

    Two weeks till NY! :D

  • Sounds like the party was fun - your costume sounds fab!

Hope you feel better soon...I'm very jealous of you going to New York though...have been meaning to go myself (I would really like to go just before Christmas), but have yet to make it. Have you been before?

Get well soon and ensure you are rested BEFORE the Big Apple, otherwise you may get knocked down by the next bug when you stop and then go on the break.

Whilst the £:US$ is not nearly as good as it was, keep an eye on the news regarding sales. I assume you'll be there around Thanksgiving on 28 November; isn't that when you can get a lot of bargains?

Whatever the exchange rate though, simply enjoy it. You've earned a reward so go have fun!
  • NY sounds so exciting!!:j sorry that you feel so poo though...at least you can get yourself back to full strength before you go on your travels...;)

our household has been plagued by bad colds and the sickness bug that has been going around for the past week.... its very annoying but i have found that having loads of juices (veggie and fruit) is really working on the colds...eat loads of parsley, its an amazing multi vitamin munch!!

    hope you feel better soon....

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I feel more cheerful today and have been let off phone duty to save what's left of my voice. It means that its very quiet here today

It'll be my third time to NY shopgirl. I've been lucky that the first time was with College so very discounted prices and the second time was for a wedding - the couple who will be letting us stay with them again!

We just miss Thanksgiving Stuart cause the flight prices shoot up then! Hopefully our friends can tell us the best places to go for a bargin ;) I am set on seeing a broadway show and have a helicoptor ride already booked (was a present) so those are my two main things to do... and of course have pancakes, bacon and strawberriesfor breakfast. :D

Dollar just gone down to 1.51 - you could go mad trying to pick a day to buy:eek:

Poor Frazzmunch I'd heard that your household is quarantined :rotfl: I'd never heard the tip bout parsley before, shall go out and get some at lunch.

It's very tempting to count my whisky bottel of coins to see how much is there...I will resisit...on an other note my points with various sites seem to be creepiing up nicely. I'm with Valued Opinion for surveys - do you know anyone who has actually won anything? I seem to be doing loads of surveys but there's no way of knowing if you'll get anything back. I know I sound greedy :o

Lunch in ten mins... shall get myself a smoothie and some parsley
