Thanks Frazzmunch. I think I'll try peas, courgettes, toms, carrotts, lettuce, radish, beetroot, poatoes etc. I'm intending to try and create a slug proof barrier next year which will consist of gravel, pellets, eggshell, coppert ape and anything else I can think of! No slug shall munch in my garden! Horrible things. I did try the whole salt thing and killed loads of slugs, but they stink when they decompose  no where to put them. Yuk.

Never mind, on a brighter note the weather looks farly good for the rest of this week so its more gardening and washing to do.

Pay day soon! yay :D should have - fingers crossed - £200 for hols and £20 to put in the OP fund.

  • know what you mean about the homeless snails!!!.....i find that the later i put stuff out the less likely they are to be decimated by the slimy ones...if only i could say the same about the catepillars....they managed to completely strip my brassicas (literally overnight  ) a couple of seasons ago.. i am pretty relaxed about it normally...quite happy to have an 80-20 split between me and the creatures but sometimes i think that they forget which percentage is theirs:rolleyes: ..intending to fleece the lot of it next season...see if they can get through that!!

payday for me too in less than a week....:j hoping to really get to grips this month, lots of nsd's, lots of op's on mortgage (£5 is a valuable op :o ) if they manage to get it converted in time;) and ruthless cutting down wherever possible....i am making this payday the mother of all months..everyday is going to concentrate on how i can spend less and pay off more!!!

Good to see the OPs above, and as Frazzmunch says, you definitely need to have some items of pleasure on the long MF journey otherwise you are unlikely to stay the course and instead resent your efforts.

Thank you for your support you guys

The weekend didn't turn out too expensive thankfully, spent bout £25 in total. Was taken to an amazing pub for dinner - yum yum.

It did mean that nothing happened this weekend but nevermind, last night made up for that! I sold one of my painting! :D Very happy and have fingers crossed that maybe someone will buy another one. So thats £40 towards holiday fund.

Had a NSD day yesterday and will do today too. The new libary has just opened so I'm off to visit it this lunchtime. Am hoping they'll have a 'learn Dutch' CD for me to try.

    Hope you are all well

Thanks SMF2. How are things going with you?

Been a fairly quiet day here today, did end up spending £10 last night out at the pub, fun but not worth the £!

I'll have to catch up with everybody's threads tomorrow - see you then!
