  • Hi SmlSave - just popped in to see how you've been doing and it seems you're back to full strength, but please take it easy!!!

Lots of MFW babies on the way, which is great news - OH and I have been trying for ages, so whatever chair you've all been sitting on, or water you've been drinking, I want some too! :)

It's alright everyone :) now I'm back at work I can't wait till 5pm finish everyday!

I promise I'm looking after myself QB :A

If I find that particular chair/glass of water I also promise that I will let you know as well as a couple of my friends.

I paid the balance of the holiday off today :(-poor savings :)-yay holiday. I took £2000 from savings which has to be replaced over the next year.

I'm getting a little anxious about our finances. Our 2010 spreadsheet shows that we consistantly overspend on bits and bobs outside the budget which isn't a problem atm as its still within our means.

But in 2011 I'll go on mat leave and then hopefully change to part-time work. We'll need stuff for the baby, a newer car, spending money for said holiday, £2000 for savings and of course I'd like to OP a little too _pale_ scary

*faint* at least I've got a little longer before I have to think of Uni fees! I know you'll manage smf2 :)

We will manage too, cause we have to :rotfl:From January I've decided to start living as though I'm working part-time and save the extra £ into an account just for maternity/baby stuff.

I know our grocery budget of £200 for two of us is loads compared to what others manage on so my 2011's aim is to reduce this..off to the OS board I go!

I'm happy to say that I feel almost in control of Christmas, apart from being able to find a 2-3ft tree that doesn't cost over £15 but I'm going to stalk Asda till they get a new delivery. Morrison's trees seem fairly good but the store is soo warm I just know they'll drop all their needles.

Had a bit of a panic with the 6 spa vouchers I'd ordered in Nov not turning up. After spending about £3 on chasing lastminute I finally thought - why not contact the spa directly? Phew, one spa has emailed the vouchers and ther has advised that they have resent them today.

Can anyone suggest a good 'guide to being a dad' sort of book? I think a lighthearted one might be a good present for DH
