I really works the pretending you are working part time (we did it before I had DD1) I was earning £1850 and transferred £850 into a savings account as soon as I was paid. Living on £1000.
Those £850 really added up and we were able to overpay £17000 off the mortgage. :money:
Fast forward 21 months DD2 born gave up work to be a full time slummy mummy and dropped a further £1000 a month.
I'm not going to lie it has been HARD:mad: but we could never have done so had we not been used to living off £1000. Just goes to show if you have to you can, it is cheaper having kids in A LOT of ways - I see mine as free entertainment:rotfl:OPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf
DD1 Oct 2008:), DD2 Jul 2010:), DD3 Aug 2013:)
When life is getting me down I try to remember to thank God for the blessings0 -
You can get a Baby Haynes manual!?
Thanks gratefulI had a look at this on amazon and got seduced by the 'Baby owners manual' instead. I'll let you know what it's like.
Thanks for your post saraOhhh, it would be really nice to keep OPing the mortgage. Here's hoping for a free entertainment baby...please don't be like me as a baby, pleeease.......
I sat down and went through all the presents we've bought and there's only six more to go. :T DH is responsible for his bro and dad. I know what a friend wants and then its just something extra for my Mum, Dad and bro. I was thinking matching slippers and dreessing gowns for my parents and something useful for uni for my bro.
I embarassed myself on the bus this morning by throwing upManaged not to make a mess of the bus - phew - but had to walk to work afterwards meaning I was 20mins late. Thankfully it's not too busy today (hence I'm able to update my MFW diary!)
I'm so glad we've op'd some this year at least.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Hi eveyone
Scan went well yesterday with our bean (DH called it a critter) kicking loads and streching its hands over its head.
We were going to tell everyone on Xmas day but as we walked into the scan room two of our friends were on reception! Cue us going all 007 and hiding behind people. Apparently they didn't spot us but DH insisted that we tell the family just in case they did. So off we drove to our parents...with my head in a bucket - had a really bad day yesterday. Everyone is very happy for us and my Dad just kept grinning
Think its finally started to be 'real' to DH too. Apparently I'm 13.5 weeks and due 25th June 2011!
I can't post a picture of the scan I'm afraid as I'm not on 'my' computer today as work have me in quarantine - they're all dying!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Phase 2 - £20,000 Mortgage Fund - Underway0 -
Glad the scan went well. Hopefully the morning sickness should ease soon for you. Nothing worse really. Especially being near other people when you are suffering from it. Bleugh. At least it is not summer so less BO type smells to aggravate you.
Bet you are getting excited now telling everyone.0 -
I'm so pleased your scan went well. We are both due in June then
I'm due on June 9th and we still haven't told anyone yet. We are going to put a scan photo in family's Christmas cards and let them open them on Christmas Day. It's been easier to keep it a secret than I thought actually, as no-one thought I would be mad enough to get pregnant again so quickly :rotfl: Plus baggy tops have been my best friend...
You will have to put your scan picture up when you get a chance.
I have subscribed to your diary now so I can keep coming and having a nosey...Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Bet you are getting excited now telling everyone.
People's reactions are quite funny michelletwo friends didn't believe us, one said 'ahh, but that's near my birthday!', another told us off for lying to them and a work colleague has ignore it completely.
It's nice that people know now
Hi LittleBitGreat minds think alike, we were going to do the scan piccie in cards Xmas day
Did it yesterday instead - the look on their faces was great.
I too love my baggy tops and trousersIn fact I've lost over 1/2 stone so they really are starting to fall off me now!
I'm off home to bed now....night, nightCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
