the tiredness is the worst bit. We sometimes think we are mad trying for number 2. I was sick till 18 weeks, then had SPD at 35 weeks, produced a nearly 10lber and she still doesn't sleep and she is 2!! The pleasure they bring though outweighs it all.

Am not being very MSE atm as I fancied soup yesterday and couldn't stomach making it so spent £10 on some soup, bread and smoothies. :o only ate about 4 spoonfulls as well.

Have booked to renew my First Aid Certificate in Feb :) Work is paying and so I felt I had to tell my boss that I'm pg as I didn't want them to spend £ on me and then think I'd fleeced them. He's fine with it and has been sworn to secrecy.

Thinking of courses, I've really got to do the next stage of my dipolma course before Xmas! I'll take the paperwork home tonight as I'm not going to Pilates as my mate's ill and it gives me an excuse not to go. ;)
Although got to say your not selling the whole idea of babies to me and you haven't even got to the sleepless nights stage

Sorry Babysteps and youngone, at this exact moment in time I am definitely thinking that this shall be an only child!

Feeling almost human today :) Also had good luck with the Lastmin spa deal today and bought 4 spa vouchers for Xmas presents for only £10p/p. (Also bought myself one as a treat :o)

Will go for a stroll in a mo to see if there's anything I fancy eating....

    Thanks TG :)

Just popping on to say although I don't feel like I've been very good I somehow have £60 left in my account (almost unheard of) and I get paid at the end of this week :) Off said money shall fly to the cc to pay off most the passport fee.

DH has made good on his word to take lunch to work for the first time today :) I think somehow it's fulled by the fact that if he does so he'll have saved up for a PS3 in 6 months!

Have cashed in all my Tesco vouchers and got two magazine subscripts for Xmas presents :D Also got three cinema tickets from them and used two this weekend to see Dispicable Me which was a good laugh.

    Going totally off MS topics

Had a horrible weekend though with an old friend (one of my bridesmaids in fact) saying that someone had been telling her stuff about me and that she basically no longer wishes to be friends :(

It's really upset me but I guess there's nothing I can do. Feels almost like I'm back at school and its a he said, she said situation. I'd assumed that as we got older people learnt how to deal with situations and to talk about things but I guess some never do.

Or maybe I'm just a real b*tch and nobody's been brave enough to tell me! :rotfl:

Really enjoyed catching up on your posts - I too have a velcro sofa - it is so strong, sometimes I think it has superglue all over it!

I have to say all the conversations on the various MFW threads about babies really are opening my eyes and reaffirming my lack of desire to have a baby soon or at all! This board really is the best contraception in the world! My broody OH doesn't stand a chance! Hope you are feeling OK though and the bloating has subsided!

oh no Smlsave, are you at that really yucky stage where you don't know what you want to eat. We used to eat out a lot then because I could only eat what i specifically fancied!
Sorry to hear about your friend, i think unfortunately some people remain quite childlike, rise above it hun x

  • Hi there...

I'm not sure if I said it yet, but congratulations on your news!!

In the overall scheme of things, this is far more important than your friends' nasty chit-chat - and anyway, as you say, if there's something to talk about, surely she can discuss it like an adult and not make a judgement behind your back! I understand you're upset - I would be too, but please don't sweat the small stuff, after all... there are happier things to think about!!

I'm like Tallgirl, wanting 'it' to happen and finding that it's not (at 43, I'm a bit long in the tooth, but we're praying for a miracle :))

Another one who has only just realised your news! Congratulations!
Sorry to hear about the situation with your friend. I had some stuff like that happen a few years ago which really knocked me for 6. I decided that since the friend was prepared to believe some really stupid things about me based on gossip she obviously really didn't know me and probably wasn't worth having as a friend! Try not to dwell on it and think about all the positive things that are happening!
