I've rung their info/helpline and they say they have had lots of enquiries and expect high demand.
try this link to get more details - http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20050519.p.My_Guide_Navigator_6500XL
May be best to get there early if you want one!0 -
Hi there,
I am desperately looking for a cheapish sat nav and as I was browsing Amazon for Tom Tom 300, it noticed that there were few private sellers as well selling the same Tom Tom at half the price.
I e mailed them asking whether it was used or refurbished but they say that it brand new and factory packed.
I am confused how is it possible????
What is the catch here? Does anyone know about it?
Many thanksI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Hi,
Does anyone know whether or not the Navigator 6500XL that's on sale at Lidl Mon 30th May is considered to be good value for money?.
http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20050530.p.My_Guide_Navigator_6500XL
Is this a Mio 168 Pocket PC that's been rebadged?.
Does anyone know whether or not this Pocket PC has a 300MHz CPU or 400MHz CPU as am not 100% convinced :-(.
Thank you.

Hi heathen,
Just had a quick read through what's included with the MyGuide Navigator 6500XL from Lidl, am unsure whether to buy a Mio168 or one of these .
The MyGuide Navigator is from what i've been lead to understand a Mio168 but with Falk Navigator etc.. etc.. They claim to have an External USB Antenna and seperate External Navigation Antenna in their flyer dated 30th May but there was no mention of two Antenna's on the box.
Any idea's why there would be two seperate Antenna's as well as a built-in Antenna?. Perhaps this is a typo error on their flyer.
Lidl claim that the pre-installed Falk navigation is installed in Flash ROM, guess this would remove the need to source a Sandisk SDIO 802.11b WLAN + 256Mb on-board memory, only an SDIO 802.11b WLAN Card?.
(or have I misread this?).
Not sure whether or not the MyGuide Navigator 6500XL is or is not a good buy @ £279.00. Any suggestions?.
Lidl claim that this has an Intel XScale 400MHz CPU which is a little confusing imho, particularly as this is a re-badged Mio168. Anyone know whether or not for certain this has a 400MHz CPU or indeed a 300MHz CPU the same as a Mio168 Pocket PC does?.
Your comments would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Ebuyer have a myguide sat nav (I've used one for nearly 2 years and its a great gadget), but they now have it with European maps for the ridiculous price of £49.99.
These use tele atlas maps and are probaly the best budget devices around.0
