Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 37 - Post your finds here

I love shopping at boots but for me the bargains are more exciting rather than collecting points, as i dont really use many extra points things as I would rather have real money in my pocket than money i can just spend at boots IYSWIM. How much would a lancome or clinique gwp and products set me back? Does any one know what they look like? Was thinking of getting some for my nan for christmas!?
...
I think the cheapest way to get clinique is two sets of those oil-wipes (those things that suck oil off your face, lol) for 7.50 each. Though it's most worthwhile to get something you can use. That pore refining stuff people talk about is about 12, and there are shampoos, lipsticks, etc for a variety of prices. I think you could get nice things you'd like for 20-26 pounds. It's probably the same with Lancome.0 -

Is it worth taking a pic of the new TB small cosmetic bag or have you all seen it by now.
I regularly use Sure - the Cotton Fresh spray is best in my opinion!
Are they on offer then?"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
No I was asking if i would get in trouble for using too many vocuhers. I have not been asked for my number or anything like that so I should be okay. Thanks for your help xx
You could get in trouble if Boots looked into your account and said you weren't supposed to use that many of the mag vouchers (even though it's not clear whether we can or not, and they could simply have the till refuse more than one to the same ad card). But they wouldn't look into your account unless an SA took note in store, or unless something else flagged it (seems that usually has to do with Parenting Club).
edit: By "get in trouble" I mean they could pull your card; I don't think you'd have to worry about legal action!0 -

Will they just remove the extra points that I wasn't "entitled" to (about £20-30-worth), or all of them?0 -

God I am like a little Boots GWP hit squad. I think the Clinique GWP has ended as is no longer advertised and people have reported not seeing it in store. I was under the impression that the Lancome GWP had also finished but we are waiting for someone else to confirm that although I think Nic has kinda confirmed it as they have an offer of £10 worth of products wyb 2 lancome products in the store, one of which has to be skincare or fragrance, well there was no stipulations on the original lancome gwp so seems like that could have finished and a new offer started because the GWP is meant to be worth a lot more than £10.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

I will get it next week. I will let you know though."I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic:D

I used to be very much of the opinion that collecting points was the bee-all-and-end-all for me and I hated parting with them. At my most I had over £200 on my card.
My mindset has very much changed now. What's most important to me is getting bargains and the most I can for my moneyEver since all the "points hoo-haa" has begun I too have been spending them as quick as I'm collecting them - as soon as I get to £15-£20 then I'm getting rid of them. It's just not worth the risk imo. I too agree that it seems like MrB is cracking right down on ACs and points and I'm not risking losing mine.
Just my opinion of course, but I would urge anyone with a large amount of points on their card to seriously consider spending them because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why points are being confiscated. Boots can withdraw the points from any card for any reason at all, it would seem. So, even if you've done nothing wrong at all (never used more than 1 mag vch, never done more than one 'glitch' etc...) I would still urge you to start getting rid of them asap. You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
