12 points on license but no disqualification??

  • The 6 point IN10 is a fixed penalty. You cannot accept a fixed penalty if it would push you to 12 points or greater.

For example if you have 9 points and get flashed speeding you have to go to court and cannot accept 3 points/£60 party donation.

Furthermore if you didn't declare your IN10 your policy could be invalidated in the case of a claim, leaving you with more points and further in debt.

confusedmix sorry to say (i'm sure your a nice person an all) but i have no sympathy for you,

You were made bankrupt, fair enought, not really an excuse to drive with insurance tho is it, you just wanted to keep the lifestyle you had, ie drive your car...

say you did have a crash and it was your fault, guess who picks up the bill, the poor sod you crashed, not really fair is it.

I hope you learned a valueable lesson, perhaps the next time (hope there isnt) that you should lower your standards, cut costs and get the bus/train.

If i can't afford anything then unfortunately i have to go without
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
  • HI everyone,

Could you please help me. I just received my license back today after having it endorsed. The confusing thing is that i have got 12 points on it but they haven't disqualified me. Am i right in thinking that any more than 12 and then it's a disqualification? I know I am extremely lucky that I am not disqualified but i just can't help woryying that I will recieve a letter in the next couple of days telling me to return my license and be disqualified.

Another thing is that in the Fine column it says £250.00 how do I pay this fine as they have not sent me any kind of letter with my license?

please could anyone shed some light on this?

i will be getting 12 points all sp30 will i get banned really hope not?one sp30 was due to come off in 5 days any advice how i can avoid this

As it's a pedestrian I don't see why it really matters if it's a one way street, you should look both ways before crossing, the boy didn't, and paid the ultimate price.

You're talking about a 4 year old here. Don't know about you, but when I reverse, I look out for pedestrians who may be in the road. Crazy, I know.

Try not to exceed the speed limit in future ;)

Once may be considered an error of judgement, twice stupidity ... but four times?

  • To the OP:

Contact DVLA. They will tell you the status of your licence.
