HI everyone,
Could you please help me. I just received my license back today after having it endorsed. The confusing thing is that i have got 12 points on it but they haven't disqualified me. Am i right in thinking that any more than 12 and then it's a disqualification? I know I am extremely lucky that I am not disqualified but i just can't help woryying that I will recieve a letter in the next couple of days telling me to return my license and be disqualified.
Another thing is that in the Fine column it says £250.00 how do I pay this fine as they have not sent me any kind of letter with my license?
please could anyone shed some light on this?

Depends on when the points were accrued. They only apply to toting up for 3 years, but stay on the licence for longer.Happy chappy0

This seems to explain all

Seems that if your points stay on for 4 years but you get disqualified if you tot up 12 in 3 years. Presuming that non of your points are for the more serious offences.0 -
Thx for the replies, and the points were for driving without insurance twice (I know i was stupid but i have insurance now) so it was 6 points twice making it 12, can anyone shed some light on this? and the fine?
oh and they were both for this year- so its less than 3 years.0 -
Is it a full or provisional licence?0

Its a full license held since about 1994 and it was completely clean up until now.0

I can't believe that someone can get done twice in one year & still be on the roads?0 -

Woah I just read that article and I am sitting here with my mouth open in disbelief. How can a judge not think he was driving dangerously..and what on earth do you have to do to be sent to jail these days. Oh yeah I forget - don't pay your council tax that normally gets a prison sentance..hmmm something wrong there I think..:eek:Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Perhaps he did. Diprose wasn't charged with that though. The CPS decide on what charges are brought.0
