Thanks for the info, everyone???

I visited a Tesco store today (Yeovil) and when I ask a csa about Internet coupons I was informed that this store would not accept ANY Internet (printed off) coupons whatsoever - even if you had purchased the product!
Apparently this was due to "people scanning off 100's of copies"
Is this Tesco policy? Or are store managers allowed discretion when it comes to accepting coupons?
It seems more and more that managers are allowed discretion and policy varies a lot from store to store. Maybe try another store if you have one0 -
I tried to use some coupons in the self scan aisle, but it didn't recognise any of them
They were all generic, non store specific vouchers but it refused all of them saying that I had not purchased the product. So, do you have to go through a manned checkout to get this to work?

Asda told me the same this week, gutted.
Will have to try my luck at tesco next week!!
Looks like even the supermarkets are suffering from the credit crunch!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
My two local Tesco extras just wont take any internet coupons off me...even if I buy the product. I even had to argue with a supervisor to get them to take the NOTW £3 off £30 spend today, as I had used a till spit for £6 off £40.

I was told this week that Asda Have a new policy coming in, from November you can only use the voucher is you buy the product. The cashier said she was told the is going to be across the board with other supermarkets. I don't know if the last bit is true or she was just trying to make Asda look better. This cashier is one I go to most weeks and is very good with customers. She said they all got a letter telling them the new policy and start date.0

I've just had a look through the thread and noted the different experiences of Tesco shoppers store to store.
I would very much appreciate it if someone could please tell me where I can find out what the current Official Tesco Policy is on using Money off coupons.
Thank you :AA BIG thank you everyone who takes the time to reply my posts :hello:0 -

You could try emailing Tesco CS
I don't think it matters whats 'official policy'....it seems some stores do one thing, others do another.Must be Manangers discretion.:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
I had a Baxters Soup Coupon and it wasn't accepted @ Tesco because it was a different variant.
Luckily i am getting Tesco Clubcard Bonus till vouchers £3 off £20 spend, have had 3 in a row so far!!!0 -
I was told internet coupons are at the stores discresion but they will accept coupons from magazines/papers etc, 1 of each if you dont buy the product as long as Tesco stock the item. If you buy the item you are allowed the 1, then you will need to hand in 1 extra coupon per extra product purchased.
We buy them off ebay and use them in Tesco, ok we spend some but always save over half again, brought £50 vouchers the other week for £3.25 already saved £20
Hope that helps0
