Triker – hugs over your car. The little scumbags need castrating
Lil-me – the drain story is just horrible. The little girl was so very lucky and her Dad was very farsighted knowing where the drain would empty
Mumof just two – how’s the little one’s chin? Hope you didn’t have to wait too long
Polka – I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you for the competition

Reasonable day at work today. The washing I put out last night has almost dried. I shall bring it back in in a minute. It's flipping cold so I think I need to be active rather than put the heating on just yet. Also need to put the BM on, empty the DW, make dinner (chicken thigh casserole I think - the heat from the oven will help warm the place up :D). And put some encryption on my laptop so I can take it into work.

Right - off to start flying

  • WEll DD is alright. They glue it and put a steristrip on it. Feel a fraud going to A&E for something like this but would have hated it if her BP or something was different.

Only in the hospital for 70 odd minutes so not to bad.

Sarahshattered glad DD is home. I think I fell in the boffin/ nerd category at school.

I did a swish n swipe on the kitchen and bathroom, cleared the hotspot that is the DR table, made the boys some tea and provided assistance to a slightly lost teenager about bus times. Took the recycling out and thought really hard about getting the hoover out.

    Happy birthday Mrs B dd
MOJT - i'm glad your dd is on the mend. Must have been a shock!

Well after trying to be at football and maths at the same time but 5 miles apart I got to football to find it cancelled and then to math to find out the tutor had double booked! Suited me though as I wanted to chang DDs from a Monday anyway.

Came home and let dd make cakes by herself again - she's getting so independent. I'm going to send her round to the neighbours giving out cakes later as she made way more than we can eat!! Luckily she makes nice cakes so the neighbours look forward to her visits! Trying to persuade her not to have bright red icing though - less is more and pink might be better!!!:rotfl: xx

Triker – that’s awful! Hope it gets sorted for you hun.

Mrs.V – love the sig – I’m a fan. Another one who left us too soon!

Nearly Newbie – glad you’re back – hope things are ok – don’t push yourself!

Thanks embb – back at work – schoolteacher after long hols – felt nauseous and nervous! You know that saying…do something that scare you – everyday – I do - I teach!

Tag sshh thay haven’t twigged yet!

Toots loved your tolerant post re Trikers car :rotfl:

Dusty – I inherited mine but it’s a ‘modern’ one – ie about as old as me. It belonged to my Great Aunt – I was with her (unintentionally) as she died in hospital. I used to clean their flat for them. It’s not moved much today – but still in the right direction!

Sexy – well done on the supply – it just goes to show… I HATED supply – stopped as soon as I got this job!

Ooh Mamashaz! I used to live in (no seriously) Oswaldtwistle! Anywhere near you?

Spendless – but it WAS Monday!

Sorry it's brief - busy day! No time to BEANIE you all.

Never feel a fraud for going to A&E. If you are in doubt of how serious something is always go. Glad you weren't in there for too long though.

Evening all you lovely ladies (and any gents out there  )

Shocked to log on at 7 this morning when I had 5 mins before work to find 4 pages of posts already so logged off again and now up to 10 pages which I will check out if I have time later.

    PLAN FOR TONIGHT
    • Go and get changed as havent taken coat off yet
    • Tea within the next 1/2 hour as its cooking as we speak (DD out on her bike with a timer to ensure she is home on time :rotfl: )
    • Clear up tea things together with kids inc emptying dishwasher etc
    • Then first of the new style pocket money jobs - HHC together on todays list
    • Further HHC for me depending on how much left to do
    • Catch up on here (if time)
    • Make new pocket money charts
    • In bed by a reasonable time.
Thats it - doesnt look too challenging when you dont post the whole list up :p

PS has anyone read the book Time management for manic mums (apparently achievable in 7 weeks  ) and is it any good as saw it advertised and thought it might be worth a read

    See ya later

I'm tired now so no more flying for me.

DS1 due back from golf soon
DS3 at Beavers - I need to pick up yet.

I've a year meeting at school first thing tomorrow and then plan a little day out at the large M&S/Savacentre/Boots (must check the grabbit thread) and a few other shops. Will tie in with a trip to the farm shop to get a sack of spuds and some bulb compost to plant up some bulbs for forcing.

My HHC ran a little bit late but i managed to...

    dry and put dishes away
    clear kitchen surfaces
    clean kitchen surfaces
put away remnants of DP's dinner(he never cleans up after himself)
    prep DP's tea
    Put DP tea in oven

Phew, didnt think i could get that much done in a half hour.
Methinks we will have a family HHC in living room soon, cant se the floor for kids toys books and clothes (yes, i am a scruffy mare)
