I just need to give up chocolate.......and lattes.......and cake.......simple :rotfl:
Tomorrow will be difficult though, because I have two food & coffee mystery shops to do........this DFW/WW lark might have a conflict of interests on day 1 :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi all,
Thanks for starting this thread! I have tired WW a few times now and have only ever managed up to 1 stone each time. I am so much heavier than when I first started  . I actually got out my WW stufff last week and have had my first weigh in and set myself a 10% goal as I have quite a lot to lose.
I would love to join this group and see if I can manage to avoid paying the weekly fees as I have the stuff from my previous attempts. I have found that since I have started my DFW journey I am much more organised about food by planning meals, taking my lunch in so this feels like the right time for me to get really into it.
My real weakness is chocolate. I can get through quite alot but the incentive of maintaining NSDs had helped too!!!
Good luck with it and lets see how we get on!

Well I had a good old search around and found not one but three sets of Weight watchers books!
My ten % is 17 pounds so my first goal is 20 pounds (cos I like round numbers!)
I am missing my ex tonight. ugh. wish you could just shut that bit of your brain down.
Tomorrow breakfast is weetabix and bananna, breaktime snack - snackojacks and yoghurt, lunch soup with two slices of bread.
don't know about dinner maybe chicken and stirfry.
evening snack will be rich tea and hot chocolate - options.
lets hope that works!

woow more newbies!!!! yey!!!
Hypno - good idea adding the points up to a weekly total, for my first week i worked off a daily and weekly one and it worked! i was scared to go on weight watchers threads on other boards!!!
I've heard that you lose weight more easily if you vary what you eat rather than eating the same thing every week. me and mum are doing points and we bought the "cook" book which has fab yummy stuff in it but i dont think i'll be able to afford to cook some of it!
today i sound like i've been naughty but haven't had toast and syrup for brekkie, soup cereal bar and ww yog for lunch, shapers crisps and nougat bar and chicken frissasee (sp?) from the cook book for tea. think im up to 17 points outta 20 lol. we are filling up on 0 points veggy soups but im finding the veggies hard work!
good idea for putting targets in signature, could put them on first page if people like????Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
I have failed today!!!! It was someone's birthday so I had cake in the office......and I did two food mystery shops......

Started last thurs, have 5 stone to lose to get to my pre illness weight, my weight is the last thing that I need to tackle so that I can put the crappy years behind me, my weight reminds me of how ill I was. Am happy though to lose about 3.5-4 stone. Need to lose a stone in next 6 weeks to fit into my fab asda dress that was in grazia mag as a top buy.....cost me £9 so I need to fit into it as a matter of principle! my boobs are my prob (or not some would think!!)
Am on 22 points a day
made a big vat of my version of zero point soup- boiled a bag of prepack casserole veg from asda with economy chop tomatoes then whizz it - i hate veg but this is really edible!; its been a life saver, makes loads and you can water it down each time you use it.
The new monthly pass is good, works out cheaper than paying weekly0 -
I remember going to weightwatchers for first time 12 years ago and feeling like a fat pig cos I was told I was 9 stone 7.....those were the days!
Today I've had
Ready brek & skimmed milk + tsp sugar = 3.5
cous cous, lemon feta, pineapple = 6.5
home made cottage pie - quorn, potato, tin tomato; chilli; garlic; cheese = 8
ww toffee bar = 1.5
coke zero = 0
Total 19.5 so far....0 -
Oooh brill thread.
I've been doing WW on and off for the past two months, lost about a stone so far, still a long way to go.
My DFW contribution though, is I dont officially do WW. Bought the books off ebay for about £15, and just track my weight myself. I weight each friday in boots (the machines that take you fat %) for 70p a time.
Fell off the wagon for a couple of weeks, but now back on it and rearing to go!

totally agree about the 0 points soup! its a lifesaver!!!
what do ppl think about putting targets on first page?? then everyone can update on WI days in their sig?
ta peeps you're all great for joining in!!!!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
I think the targets on the first page is good, mine is a to lose at total of 27.5lbs, lost 5 punds so far and be dd W for 5 weeks, so not going to bad.
It's not very cheap but I love butternut squash chips as they are free, especially if I have the evening munchies or on a weekend evening, I normally have them with sweet chilli sauce for 0.5 point.
I have done really well today 18 pints out of 20, and earned 6 bonus points, trying to make up for yesterday when I had 25 as went out for lunch.
I am hoping to lose at least 1-2 pounds this week as on Sunday I STS
Have a good WW day tomorrow.
