50+Ok VG, some more info on firefox/email program on the Mozilla site here:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Changing+the+e-mail+program+used+by+Firefox#Setting_Firefox_s_mail_client
Thanks for that kistooh blimey why can't it just be simple & the same across them all :rolleyes2
I think this may need more input & maybe I can try to put something in the Guide around this next weekend.
Any Safari users out there like to add anything?Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -

I just had a bit of a Google around & found this - does this ring any bells as to what you did, can you remember? As this seems a bit complex (although I've heard that Vista can be a bit unwieldy!) It looks like there is a piece of software that is downloaded to add hotmail to the list of options available then you can set it to default using the Start button & also then within IE?
No probs, I don't think i did anything complicated,i actually think it might have been an option in windows livemail itself (it's a program from hotmail which opens up all your hotmail accounts at once) to 'set as default mail handler'. Was gonna show you screenshots of Ie7 internet options to help figure it out but ive just guessed my password of photobucket wrong too many times lol so might have to wait to do it doh lol0 -
50+Ok, on IE7 Vista, going to 'tools' then 'internet options' then clicking on the 'programs' tab gives you this:
Then option 4 seems to be the one to set programs. When you click 'set programs' on option 4, the Vista 'Default Programs' menu pops up (which you can also acess from the start menu) and option 1 seems to be what we are looking for?:
Then when you click on option 1, it brings up a list of your programs, then i presume you select what you want then set it to default (where the arrow is pointing):
Can someone else with Vista, IE7 (who wants their hotmail as default) check this please?I've deleted all my outlook programs but i'm presuming they would appear in that list if you have them?

I have Feeds in my ff instead of Applications for some reason? I can't find Applications anywhere, but what a great idea to try and sort out VG.My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -

Morning all!
Don't know if anyone can help, but is anyone else getting little boxes with red crosses in where the smilies should be???? Apologies if this has already been addressed but had hectic week and haven't had time to keep up with discussions.
Thanks.
Also, just been reading posts above this one (not been to previous pages), is this about enabling people to enter email comps by clicking on links. I can't currently do this and have to write down all email comps and do them manually at mo. If there is a way I can set my comp to enable links, it would be great, I use IE7.
Thanks again. :TIf at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Its the generic ones that aren't working like rotfl, big grin etc (prob forum issues) the others are working fine
Not sure about the email issue  I use Windows Live Mail as my email client and when I click on a link it opens it up for me as a new email, I've got a hotmail and yahoo addy in there and they both work and have done since I installed it0 -

I sent a polite email to feedback@axm-mag.co.uk a few days ago, asking them if the questions they wanted answers to in their competitions were printed in the actual paper magazine.
I didn't get my email returned, but it wasn't answered either0
