Not sure about the email issue  I use Windows Live Mail as my email client and when I click on a link it opens it up for me as a new email, I've got a hotmail and yahoo addy in there and they both work and have done since I installed it
This is a different method but it's what I used to set up gmail for mailto links.

Perhaps another extension to put in the comping guide would be Autocopy. It means you only have to select the text and it's automatically copied (like comp answer or subject), then you only need to ctrl+v/paste into your email body. If you've a mouse wheel button you can even use that to paste in Firefox, so you really can make email comps much easier to enter.0 -
Looking for a bit of help,
When I click on a link to enter an e-mail comp, I get taken to
my hotmail page, but it doesn't automatically type in the
address and subject. I used to be able to do this, but can't now
Also I can't seem to copy and paste anything either
This is driving me crazy
Hope this is the right place, Thanks for any advice and sorry if it's
been asked before.I AM WHAT I AM0 -
