Well, I thought it was not going to rain but, of course, it decided to as I was halfway up to the shops - on foot; my umbrella got battered to death so, unless I want to impale someone on the spokes, it has to be binned and I'll have to use the one I had as a Christmas present - it's leopardskin and my boss said it looks like a pimp's umbrella!
Talking of pimping - Pippa, I am determined to finish my boob this afternoon. I have a cunning plan for it and will post a piccie IF it turns out as planned!
Sammy - I do hope your OH has seen the Dr by now.
Welcome to Fluffybishop (great name!) - you'll love us here 'cos we're all nice!
Scuzz - have a great holiday!
RedRuby - hope you're feeling better now? That's strange about your blackberries because you're not far from me (about 50 miles or so) and ours have been brilliant this year - I've been picking them for about five weeks and there are still loads to go, despite the birds having loads. They're much bigger than usual this year but the seeds are very hard - like bits of grit (unless they are bits of grit we've been eating!).
Anyway, I really must get cracking. I've made flapjacks, fruit cake and bread so that will keep us going plus our local shop had Jaffa Cakes for £1 and on BOGOF too, so we have plenty of stuff to satisfy the munchies. The lady in the shop told me that Strictly Come Dancing starts tonight so I must check that out and arrange dinner to fit in with it (tonight and for the next three months of Saturday nights!) It's the only show like that that I watch and I love it. DH will watch it, too, because Cheryl Lunghi is one of his secret lusts!
Anyway, no more mioliering for now!
See you later.

WM is on for the 2nd time this morning and DW will go on after lunch. House is all clean and tidy but DD needs to do her room:rolleyes: We had boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast and they were delish! I'm having TTD Liver & Bacon for lunch, DD & OH are having pasta.
Spoke with a friend this morning for an hour about her husband (soon to be ex) who has got 3 girls on the go ATM:eek:     she is distraught. They have 2 kids and its so sad.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well.
Hugs to all.

Scuzz, I find it cheaper using those little phone cabins when I'm in Spain, you pay when you are finished, but it does usually display the charges as you go. Phoning mobiles was not much dearer than landlines. Have a great time and bring the sun back with you.
Thank you for the tip
Can't wait to get there now!!!! Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Fluffybishop - welcome, and please don't think everyone here does everything os! I know we're all superwomen, but .......
Welcome to someone else, sure there was someone new yesterday, but between catching up and posting this I've been to make everyone egg and bacon sarnies! So thanks to whoever wrote about bacon this morn, cos you reminded me I'd bought some yesterday!
Redruby - love your dd's sense of ambition, when my dd2 was small she wanted to be a giraffe when she grew up lol!
Celyn - glad you've manged to learn so much whilst working, always good to know that should I try it I won't be able to sleep in a swivel chair!
Whatatwit - our boiler won't light, so no heating here till I get an engineer out, not done it yet as oh is a horror for putting the heating on and sitting around in shorts and t-shirts, well that won't be happening this year ha ha!
edit: Moliere - thanks for the reminder about strictly - have just cancelled my evening out with friends so I can watch it with my curry and a glass of red and the kids (yes, I did notice the troops came last in that list lol!). Looking forward to it now, my friends now think I really am nuts! Just checking my diary to keep sats clear now whilst it's on!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hello all !
Got back from seeing Mum last night and pleased to say she was awake and knew I was there. She rambled a bit -well quite a lot - bit on odd occassions we could actually have a conversation.
She was aware it was her birthday too and the staff made a lot of fuss of her.
Stayed with my friend who has an amazing allottment -keeps them going with fruit and veg all year long and the village is one of those 'communities' where a fair bit of swapping can take place, helping out those whose crop maybe hasn't done so well. Nice to see that sort of thing hasn't disappeared entirely.
Well, lot of catching up to do, plus post to sort out, washing etc.
Have a good day and hugs (((((((((:o )))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hi again..
been into town & back with middle DD, we didn't stay in long as she couldn't find anything much she wanted (always the way when you actually have money to spend!). Changed into pj-type trousers & just going to potter & chill today I think
Oldest DD gone out in a huff. Again. Youngest been to watch a Christmas crafting demonstration with my mum, they'll be here shortly.
Need to find a good cookie recipe - like the ones you buy at the supermarkets that are 5 for 99p in the bakery section, can anyone point me in the direction of one?
Redruby, glad you are feeling a bit better, thank you - I'm definitely learning fast - although a bit perplexed about all the million types of screws.... (which ones for plasterboard or doesn't it matter????)
Oh, mum here, back later!!!Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

I'M SORRY!! Before anyone else alters their plans for this evening, I was wrongly informed (by the lady in my local shop) that Strictly Come Dancing starts this evening. The Eurovision Dance Contest is on tonight but not Strictly. I have already pm'd a grovelling apology to Mummysaver who has cancelled her plans for tonight and I want to save the same mistake for anyone else. I AM VERY SORRY and I hope I am forgiven.
