Well I'm going to have to have two lists as we go away a week on monday so I'm splitting them up into home and Holiday (if that makes sense???)

    Home:

    1. Clear the Kitchen & Put table back (move all stuff that got dumped from decorating the frontroom, Washing & Drying etc..)

    2. Wrap DS2 Birthday Presents & Do Cards.

    3. Sort out Computer (as it is dumped on the floor in the kids bedroom while we decorated....gonna leave it upstairs now)

    4. take 4 bags and Chair to the Charity shop (Will do this on Monday)

    5. Sort out Dad's, Little Sisters and Step mums Xmas Pressies Ready to post when we get back from holiday (They live in Gibraltar, and I like to post it off early)

    6. Finish 2 Xmas Planners for Presents.

    7. Put all the clean washing away that is becoming mount everest

    8. Put stickers on new Wheelie bins (ARRRRRRRRRGH!! gone to Fortnightly collection on the main bin, but now have a big brown one for tins, bottles etc, bags for paper and card, and a small green one for food waste  ) I got some lovely ducks dancing in the rain stickers from B&M's they were only 79p a sheet BARGIN!!

    9. Cut the Kids Hair

    10. put new unit up in frontroom.

    11. Make Biscuits for DS2 to take into school for his birthday (will do this on Thursday so he can take them in friday the last day of term)

    Holiday:

    1. Sort out Halloween stuff for while we are away.

    2. Print off some activites incase the weather is bad (were going to Ayr in a caravan so might be a bit cold at this time of year  )

    3. Sort out clothes and Pack

    4. Sort out spare blankets and Pillows.

    5. Clear the junk from the boot of mums car.

    6. Go shopping for beer & Wine.

    7. Sort out boxs of bits that I've been buying each week for the holiday.

    8. book train tickets so me and OH and DS2 can get there.

    9. Sort out kids Leapsters, Change Batteries and get all games together.

    10. Sort out kids holiday craft box.

I think I will treat myself to a nice bottle of wine on friday and put my feet up, because no doubt I will be rushing around all weekend making sure we have everything ready for the monday and packing the car for my mum.

I looked all through that site about organising Christmas, and nowhere can I find the prompt to 'Gut the kitchen completely after 20 years and spend far too much money on a new one, leaving yourself skint for Xmas 2008, 2009, 2010'

    Surely it's there somewhere.

Hello everyone. After reading your thread last week it inspired me to go up and sort out the spare "bed" room which currently has no bed as we are storing furniture for OH's family. Also all my craft bits are up there along with filled baskets and hampers ready for christmas.

I sorted out the whole room putting loads of stuff we didnt need for a while in boxes to be stored in the loft and the room was looking nice and tidy.

The boxes are now in my bedroom still waiting to go up in the loft (cant lift them up the ladder myself as disabled in one arm) and I have noticed other bits creeping back into the spare room again. OH has a habit of going to see his family and they give him something they dont want and he brings it home and wont throw it out as it was theirs so we are ending up with a houseful of things we dont need. Sometimes feels like I'm hitting a brick wall! Still he is off work tomorrow for 2 days so will make sure he gets the boxes up out of the way.

Might go up and sort out my wardrobe today as I am on my own for the day. I have a pile of clothes on the floor in there which dont fit anymore.

Thanks everyone for getting me organised and well done again Mel for the motivational '10 things to do and then you can have a treat' idea!

Going to join you as then I'm committing publicly and will be embarrassed to say that I only sat on the computer watching all your ideas etc etc and didn't manage to actually do anything (like I usually do!) So here goes...

    1. sort understairs cupboard
    2. organise birthdays up to Christmas
    3. start Christmas cards
    4. plan food/meals/snacks for christmas
    5. list food to buy for Christmas
    6. Buy cake and pudding ingredients
    7. plan Halloween party
    8. Get halloween stuff out of loft
    9. wrap Christmas presents for friends we are seeing next wend
    10. Recheck/update Christmas present list

Let's hope I can do it!!

    Good luck everyone xxx
