The room looks great! We're still in limbo mode as a new ceiling is going in son's room in a couple weeks - so we'll be frantically cleaning just before it's done and then frantically cleaning and finishing the painting and such after it's done. At the end of October. *sigh*

More distractions for me - hubby bought me a sewing machine for my birthday (which I wanted), although my birthday isn't until next month. He knew I wanted one and found a nice one, and there's nowhere to hide it in the house, so presented it to me early. Yay! So now all these ideas I have for sewing stuff for Christmas - eeeeeeek!

Triggles I dont envy you having a brand new ceiling installed so close to christmas but I DO envy you have a sewing machine you lucky thing! I want one!!

scattymam I think your photographs are a good size don't worry about it :) theyre gorgeous cards and I think they look really proffessional. Your daughters room is gorgeous especially now it has had a tidy!! What a lucky little girl she is.

Just one thing.. WHAT are those 2 dolls doing in the bed in the dolls house?!

Shev I like your optimism Well done on getting cracking on those dreaded cards! I hope you can reach your deadline easily.

sarahf One more coffee?? LOL I can't wait to see these cushions when they are finished. I need to take some bags of things to the charity shops but I keep holding on waiting for a car boot argh. How are you finding the boxes of things idea? I had to start doing it because I just kept procrastinating all the time.

Kalojac I love your mug.. is that a home made tag too? It looks really stunning and I am sure the recipient is going to love it. I do frequent that thread and my list is getting longer for things to make!

tigger888 You have made a Hama bead wreath!! My word what is this amazing creativity you have!! I can only manage simple stupid things lol.

pinkladymel - I learned from the master haha. Anything my dad does DIY-wise ever since I was tiny, I was his shadow!

Done my first coat of gloss as got sent home from work today for not being well still and will do the other coat in the morning. Havent done the very base of the doors otherwise my two cats (one being jet black) will have some lovely designer stripes!

I'm also going around all my windows and resealing them with sealant. Just to make sure no cold is getting through as a few of them the sealant is looking veeeeery bare!

    Thanks everyone for kind comments.

Dolls house is the cheap one you can get from Argos - only £20/25 pounds I think which is a lot cheaper than most houses, needs wallpaper inside, will do it one day...the barbie doll house in the corner was 50p from a boot sale the other week - bargain...and mel:rotfl: on both pictures the dolls are in risky positions. You made me laugh.

Just noticed also wall-e is peeping out the dolls house on the table, ha ha, never tidied inside of it. Blimey I had enough to do.

Right Mel, what you have to do is get some waterproof sealant in clear or white depending on what colour your frames are and one of those holders with a trigger on it. You press the trigger ever so gently and run slowly along where your gap is so you get a nice even sealant sausage.

Then wet your finger (please remmeber to do this. When I tried it myself I could have cried as the sealant kept lifting up and getting dragged along with my finger. My dad told me always remember to just gently wet your finger)

Then put your finger on the end of the sealant and draw smoothly along the sealant and it will produce a lovely curved seal against your two joined surfaces. I have half a window done which was in bad need of doing and im going to go around all the rest just to be on the safe side.

Any questions just let me know!
