I didnt get my 5 cards done yesterday and it doesnt look like I will be getting them done tonight either
(. I will make a start tomorrow, I will make a start tomorrow.
I think those Adipose are so cute, please post pics when you are finished Sarah xx0 -
After Shevs post I made myself sit down last night and write 5 cards! So thanks Shevs for the advice and sorry you didn't get yours written - some nights its just so hard to get things done.
pinkladymel - I think I may have made my wreath sound much grander than it actually is :rotfl: so don't be too impressed! It's only about the size of a side plate! My daughter made a bow, snowflake, 2 presents and a candy cane which I still have to sew on to it and it will probably be a gift for one of the grandparents!
Scattymum - love the before and after photos - the before looks like a familiar sight in our house. Think your cards are beautiful too - well done!
So DD1 had a friend coming to play today so I am hoping to do a freezer and store cupboard inventory. We are very lucky as OH is a gamekeeper and we have a freezer full of venison with more on the way at the end of the week. Also planning to make a big pot of mince (venison of course!!) - one portion for tonight and one for the freezer.
Have a good day everyone!

I am so annoyed  my work are shutting there offices from the 19th to the 2nd of January opening back up on the 5th and I have been told that I have to take 3.5 days unpaid which I am really not happy about. They just said that they dont want to take peoples holidays when it was there decision to shut the office. God I am annoyed if it was there decsion to shut the office then we should be paid. Always the little people trying to scrape by on rubbish wage that are targeted. I am really upset. I cant afford to not get paid for 3 and a half days.
Sorry guys, I just needed to vent xxx0 -

Sorry to hear that Shevs  - hope you can get something sorted before it happens. I agree with mum2one - it sounds very dodgy. The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0

Does anyone know where I can get Eeyore nightwear from apart from Asda and Littlewoods? Its for a lady rather than a child. I've started my shopping and I'm on a roll!
I saw some in BHS last week,it was with the new stock so they should have them in your branch too."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll have a look into it. I work for a solicitors so there must be some way of getting away with it.
Got some more christmas shopping done at dinner. Bought bf some pressies and got some wrapping paper.
Hows everybody elses day going?0 -
In my old job we used to have a Christmas break like you Shevs but they used to pay for half and then take 3 days out of our holiday allowance. When we got our new holiday allowance we always remembered that we were effectively 3 days down due to the xmas break. Hope you get it sorted xxx:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0

Hi everyone :hello:
Not been on MSE very much at al the last few months through one thing and another. Been reading through this thread again this afternoon though... oh how I do love Christmas! :rudolf:
There are only 78 sleeps left as well... woo hoo...!
I am quite organised this year- only got a few people left to buy for. Got some vouchers coming in next month or so as well, so can use them for the pressies! I have got saver stamps/club card vouchers and about £30 in a savings club at work which I am going to use for food over Christmas week. Me and DH both have shut down week at work over Christmas/New Yr, so we leave on Chritmas Eve (ususally let everyone go at 12pm) and don't go back until 5th Jan.:j
I feel very smug and organised this year- my only panic will be Christmas Eve- which is going to be a right trauma... after work Cmas Eve, got to get all pressies set up in lounge ready for Cmas day morning, then got to prepare loads of the food for Cmas dinner as well... and we're both working at our second jobs at 7pm! Thankfully, my Mum has offered to have kids in the afternoon while we get on with stuff at home- and she's going to bring them back round at 6pm ish so we can do Reindeer dust etc etc before they go to bed. Babysitters coming round at 6.30 so we can get to work. And if all that goes to plan I will be very pleased... :rotfl:
What does everyone else do Cmas Eve? Any traditions? I love Cmas eve so much, it's got to be the best day of all- so exciting!
