I love Christmas Eve. When I used to live at home that was my dad to be in slouchy clothes, and do my bedroom from top to bottom so that all my new stuff fit. Watching movies on tv and listening to Christmas musics. Changing my bedding so I had a lovely nice new bed to sleep in.
Now that I have my own house, the thought of cleaning the house from top to bottom doesnt have the same appeal haha.
What is reindeer dust noggin?? x:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0 -
My Christmas Eve traditions were alot like your's Dani, me and my sister used to tidy our rooms from top to toe and change our beddings too! Then with my younger brother we would take our blankets down stairs and watch christmas movies.
It is my first Christmas with BF in our own flat this year and he is working this christmas eve which I am a bit gutted about but at least we get Christmas day together.0 -
Reindeer dust is like a mixture of dried oats/glitter etc in a little pretty mesh bag with ribbon etc. It is so the reindeer know where you live when you sprinkle it outside...
The kids think it's brill and they sprinkle it all over the back garden, we then have to wash it away with the hose once they're in bed, so they think Rudolf has eaten it.
It is about 50p for a little pouch, although you could obviously make your own. We get it from a charity that takes it into school though, so it's for a good cause.
Adds to the magic that s Christmas eve!

Me my bro and sis all still get pj's of our mum and dad for christmas, we used to get a new pair to wear to bed on christmas eve when we were little but that was only so we looked presentable on the pictures of christmas morning lol.
My mum makes reindeer dust with the kids in her class every christmas, they all go mad for it as they are all infant age and still belive in Father Christmas.0 -

the new pj's on cmas eve is a right nice idea. do you wrap them up and have them as a little pressie on cmas eve? i'd really like that i think- especially because its my favorite day of the year and we're hardly going to see the kids with work then preparing dinner then work again.
I might have a look in Primark next week see if there are any bargains.
While I think on- my little lad has just asked if he can hang his stocking in his bedroom this year. Does anyone have ideas of what I could put in their stockings for when they first wake up Christmas morning? only thing i can think of is like sweets or socks...! (not very imaginative really!) any ideas anybody? it is for DS (5) and DD (2)

I would be very careful when buying Primark pj's....a few years back they were fine but then the seams started tearing for no apparent reason....and i used to buy them every year as they were the best
I would however recommend Peacocks pyjamas insteadQuidco £875.12:money:Topcashback £267.26:money:iPoints 12604pts:beer:Pigsbck 800pts;)Cashle $16.09:TKudosnetwork £50 Amazon:eek: FreebieJeebies £30 Amazon:rolleyes:BingoPort £30 Amazon:j, Lightspeed £15 Amazon Voucher:money:, ConsumerPulse £100 Argos :cool:Valued Opinions £10 Argos:p, MySurvey 1490 Nectar Points:money:Updated 28/04/20090
