Organised Christmas 2008.. The countdown has begun!

Jamtart you are going to be busy with all the new house stuff but how exciting!!

I'm at home today and determined to add the addresses to my written cards (all written now!) also need to catch up on the washng onto 2nd load already!

Well done to my fellow Chrimbo Bingogals, I ned to study our card and try and get a couple more stamped on there!!

Thanks for all the kind wishes! I am hoping I havent jinxed myself and just keeping our fingers crossed that it goes through. Luckily we don't want to move in before Christmas, as we want to do it up first (and will be living at home) so won't be moving in for ages if we get it ! trying not to get excited!

Furrypig - Yep we are doing well aren't we! I think chocolate.orange is a silent nighttime shopper so our card has been busy! Glad someones' tesco tracked..it certainly wasn't mine It seems as though if you have 10 random stamps then the card is currently registereing as 'complete' on the site - may be a glitch but we have 8 so perhaps not that far off!!

I am home all day today. So will be doing abit of wrapping, writing a few more cards, sorting out a few carfty things ( i am determined to attempt to make some single serving snowman soups in my own made cones ? should be fun :rotfl: and of course.....crimbobingo shopping

Oohhhhhh I meant to say - excitingly in the post today was a 'lovefoodhatewaste' gift pack that I won from a giveaway on MSE! It is lovely, a thermos flask, plastic lunchboxes, freezer pakcs etc. Really pleased with it and I never win anything usually

Have had my first christmas cards through the post today..ack! Must remember to put them somewhere where I can find them later..lol

Now the kitchen is all finished I am just putting everything back, that was in the living room, although it is taking me a while. I didn't realise there was so much and that is after being really ruthless and throwing a load of stuff away.

I have a batch more christmas cards to write, pop to the post office and get my overseas stamps and then post the christmas cards. That will be one major job out the way..

Hoping that I can get on with the christmas cooking next week. We have our new fridge freezer being delivered tomorrow, which I am looking forward to stocking up. I may go and get the christmas freezer food later this week/early next week then it will all be done. Plus the fridge is bigger this time around so I can order a proper veg box of christmas veggies from Riverford when I place my next order. Am thinking of getting there meat box as well, so that I don't have to worry about the meat. Hmm thinking I might be a tad too organised food wise..lol.

Let's just hope that DH finishes the decorating and the new furniture arrives from Argos, for the living room. Then I can decorate with christmas deccies..

Ok has someone taken the old Natty away and transplanted a new one in her place..lol

Just a quick hello all his morning as the only thing on my list today is WORK! Have a deadline for the 28th (am a writer) and am nowhere near aaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh. Far too much being organised for xmas and not not enough knuckling down me thinks.

sugajen- what can i say that hasnt been said already? .....great ,brill, fab, beaut, and just good old fashioned gorgeous. put up as many piccies as you like im sure hes melting everyones hearts on here. lovely to have good news at this time off the year.

Well yesterday i did quite well got all the cards finished and addressed and going to post the foreign ones tomorrow. When do you all post your uk ones? i have always been on the last post.... when is ok but not too early? if i send them now my mates will think i have something wrong with me!!!!
Also got a couple of pressies wrapped, bought wall-e for my titchy nephew and last bits n bobs to finish my hampers. Not got stuff yet for dh or ds many because im stuck for ideas. got some stocking fillers for them but cant decide what else.
I am determined to get my list up and running again for the end of the week and me thinks it may be a biggy.
Be nice to start dishing out the family gifts soon so that i too can get in and out of bed withpout it looking like a commando raid...not a pretty site me stubbling all over the bedroom in my jimjams

I have just done a shop at the ethical superstore they had some really lovely things and I ended up spending over £40!! My favouritewer the little torchs for kids that don't need batteries I got them for their christmas hampers!

Also just done a smaller (£10) shop from the book people so we should have 2 more stamps in that line!

Sadly I did a watersone shop but that's not on our card!

The box was a chipboard box - totally blank and I covered it and painted the edges, there's a book inside the box (was only £4) just have to put my dd's christmas photos in scrapbook style-


mel : trying to copy your photos, most turned out rubbish but this one was kind of what I was going for - not as good as yours though, but she looks cute.

scattymam your little one is really cute!! !:) i do liket hat style of photo! i love the scrapbook box - VERY NICE!! Cards are lovely too ! welldone you!!

furrypig - choccyorange has just had pc world on there too, so hopefully another stamp there too. thanks for that! hopefully the glitch goes through on our card
