I'm trying to get organised early this Christmas and I've just bought a subscription to Candis magazine as a Christmas gift and it is wonderful. Contains loads of advice on saving money, recipes, consumer advice, gardening, health - absolutely everything. Plus when you subscribe you become eligable for all sorts of discounts on insurance, days out, family holidays, electrical goods and loads more. Check it out at www.candis.co.uk. Also they've got a Christmas offer on til 11 Dec where if you subscribe you get a free Champneys spa gift worth £20, and if you want you can subscribe for a friend and you keep the gift to give to someone else as another Christmas present. I love it now so take a look!

Hi
I'd really like to join in please. I'm not as organised as most of you lotso have only just started getting ready for christmas in the last couple of weeks, buyt better late than never! I have to buy presents for the following people:
Parents (no idea what to buy them)
DH (got some ideas for what to buy him)
2 close friends and one of their partners (bought for one close friend and the other friend's partner)
1 friend's children (I know what to get them)
2 great nieces (one in premtaure baby unit, who I've bought for)
2 great nephews (not too sure what to buy them)
1 friend's sister (bought her present)
2 other friends (got some ideas for what to buy them)
There's also about 5 other people who who I want to buy small presents for, like the nurses on my husband's dialysis ward, for example. I'm trying to think of things to buy them other than chocolates.
As you can see from the list, I'm a bit stuck on what to buy for some people
I've got about 60 cards to write. I'm about half-way through doing that. I've also bought gift-wrap and tags, although I've not wrapped anything up yet. If I can afford it I'd like to buy some decorations and a tree.
I've also got various parties coming up0 -
Bought some fabby xmas cookie cutters online today so I can make my biscuits. Got a set for £3 which includes 5 xmas themed cutters.
Thought I would make an extra batch and a small hole in them to thread through ribbon and hang on xmas tree. Going to ice names onto them too although after a couple of weeks hanging on an artificial xmas tree they will not be fit for consumption!:rotfl:
Doing choc chip cookies and ginger cookies (with real chuncks of crystallised ginger and everything!)
Anyone else bought anything xmas-sy today?Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0
