    Morning everyone!

Had a great bonfire/fireworks night last night - the weather was perfect and it was DD2's first time and she loved it -yay!

However, DD1 and DD2 were up for one minute this morning when they started fighting and they haven't stopped yet! I am sitting in this room with the door shut!

I too am now doing the daily lists - I think it feels as if I am achieving more.

MIL is coming to visit so short list for today (OH is cooking roast lamb for lunch - yum yum) :-

    1. Back to park with PTA to clean up after fireworks.
    2. Take DD1 to friend's b/day party (and remember to pick her up although the mood I am in I might leave her there!)
    3. Washing and ironing.
    4. General tidy up (DD2 is loving jigsaws and games at the moment all at the same time!)
    5. Plan for the next week - busy week so not much time for cleaning etc.
6 If time - deep clean bathroom (depends on how long MIL stays)
    7. Watch Strictly results too Jasminefromthenorth - I missed it last night

pinkladymel - had a look at the Christmas Eve hamper thread - they have some lovely ideas. But I think what I really want to do is have an 'activity' box for the five days before Christmas - DD1 finishes school on 19th December so I want to keep them busy and amused until the big day. So far, I have a couple of DVDs (non Christmassy though  ) and some paper chains to make. Was thinking of some Christmassy colouring pages and printing off some of the Christmas stories to read each night. I think I will go round the charity shops and pick up some more jigsaws and games. If the weather permits, maybe some sort of Christmas treasure hunt outside (will need to get my thinking cap on fir that!) Any other ideas greatly received!!

    Have a good day all!

    Love

    Gill

xmas baking? tickets for a panto or a xmassy day out somewhere? A reply from santa?
One year we made a giant indoor snowman - basically just drew the outline on a huge sheet of paper and the boys made him by sticking cotton wool balls to it. Kept them busy for a hour :)
