Bought some gorgeous christmas cards from Aldi at the weekend, so have put them away for when I am ready to write them out.

I also picked up some gorgeous Christmas aprons while in Morrisons on Monday - first time ever that I have even had Christmassy things for use in the kitchen. Now I am on the look out for some Christmas cushion covers for the living room :)

We had snow here last night as well! :j DH was less than thrilled but as he walks to work, who can blame him?

Schedule got thrown out of whack yesterday. Council was supposed to send someone to redo the dining room ceiling and instead sent someone to fix the chimney stack. Which is fine, technically, as that needed to be done as well, but as they mixed up the appointments, I had the dining room cleared out instead. Oh well, at least I know next time it's the dining room. :rotfl:

The local nursery has decided to do a book sale (Usborne), so that means I need to spend some time today getting the paperwork ready and checking my book stocks as well.

I have a head cold and am feeling miserable so I can't see myself getting much done today.

Awwwww I want snow too. When I woke up this morning and heard on GMTV that it had been snowing I ran to the window as fast as my little legs would carry me to find nothing but frost:( . It is absolutly freezing here in Manchester.

Haven't got anything more on my list done this week so need to get a move on if I want my treat and only have tonight and tomorrow to do it as I am off to a party for Halloween Friday.

Natty68 I got a really cute Christmas cushion the other week from lakeland with Father Christmas on for a tenner which I think is cheap for Lakeland:rolleyes: .

Addictedtolush I agree with you on Lee Stafford he is quite tasty.

Jamtart I really like your idea of having a christmas night early on. I think I will do it with BF as he is only off work Christmas Day and Boxing day and I know that on both days we will be rushing round seeing family and the like so will be nice to have a little night just me and him

Have a good day everyone xxx

I think it would be cool to get married on friday the 13th.. I always try and make it my lucky day :D

The snow is melting away this morning so I feel sad for my little boy who wanted desperately to buy a carrot and make a snowman. (His words not mine.. I do actually have carrots in the house LOL)

  • I want snow too. We missed the snow in April as I was in Florida. Planning on doing some Christmas shopping next week when my DS is back at school.

Need to sort out freezer/pantry list as I want to start adding a few Christmas things to the list each week so we don't end up with a big list a week before Christmas.

Horray - did all my jobs yesterday! Also felt strangely down and had abit of a day from hell. First I took the kids to go trampoleening but it was fully booked - cue tears. Then we had to mooch around town in the cold for an hour before our dentist appoint - only to turn up to find they;d given us the wrong time and we'd missed it :( I really didnt want to go into town in the cold anyway and it was a total waste of an afternoon.

Anyways - feeling abit better this morning. Got visitors this aft so gonna have a quick swish round then attempt to ironing pile :)

Roxie my mum has a car parking fairy.... Honest to god whenever I am looking for a car parking space with my mum she always always always finds me a spot. she'll sit in the car and say ''go on fairy find us a spot'' The car park could be ram packed bumper to bumper but my mums fairy always comes through and gets me a space..........
