Fair point if you are not in a position of trust with regards to money.
I am NOT suggesting you are dishonest. But , frankly, as a small business employer, it would be a serious consideration for me. If you employed somebody, in a position where finances were involved, wouldn't you want to know if they had financial issues?
My last employer trusted me completely, despite him knowing about my (then) potential bankruptcy.
I had full and total control over the companies finances and if I had chosen to, I could have removed the £1million in funds in his account to mine and across to the Caymen Islands before he had even noticed. Flown myself and my family out there one evening and be untouchable.
And why did I not do this? Because I am honest. Being BR does not make me a criminal nor does it make me any less reliable or honest than the next person.
My own personal financial issues have nothing to do with my personal integrity.0 -
Thats debatable to spend when you know you can't pay it back is dishonest. How many of us myself included have lived on CCs with no idea how we were going to pay them back.tigerfeet2006 wrote: »Well if your employee was made BR then they have no financial issues so are no threat to you. Or did i dream that the govermant had to rescue the bank:rolleyes:
That argument is a non starter:rotfl:
1. Yes they made unwise loans!! Amongst other other things I know.
2. The government has no money. WE, taxpayers that is, paid to bail out the NR.....because of their bad debts.
3. Wrong.0 -
But some people can't manage that they arn't physicaly or emotionionaly strong enough. Others don't give a **** though.
4. Not perfect, like a beer. If I had a 'life changing event' I hope I would be able to confront any financial implications as opposed to running away and trying to hide the fact.Barclaycard 3800

I DID NOT question your honesty/integrity.
You advised your employer of your financial difficulties, fine.
Why is the OP not so honest/transparent with their employer?0 -

I know i have had a bit of a rant but I find that this site is becoming increasingly full of posters that seek to find a way of avoiding paying their debts rather than addressing the injustices of the financial institutions which the site was intended for. The OP is a minor case.0 -
I would just rather my employer did not know my financial situation, it is a personal thing and it does not effect my work in any way so I do not see why it should be made public knowledge.
As for you, neillgb, if all you want to do is put me down and bully me why don't you just go on some other thread and bother someone else. I don't need to hear your opinion, I am on here for support, which I am getting from other members. If I wanted to hear what you have to say I would speak to the creditors who didn't leave me alone until we changed our phone number. You are the same as them0 -

Oh it is, thats my latest battle, getting a creditor to prove a debt, now thats fun:rotfl:
6 Challenged 6 failed, but creditors are whiter than white
But i aint doing it to get out of paying a debt, im doing it to prove they have no right to herrass us unlawfully
Its not always about money:rolleyes:Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Sorry, but if you are going bankrupt, which is the road you seem to be going down with the joyous encouragement of others on this thread, it should be a matter of record.
Fair enough if it does not affect you employment. However if it doesn't affect your current employment why are you seeking to hide things from them? Embarrassment perhaps? Not meant as an insult.
If you don't want to hear the opinions of others you should not go on a public forum.
I am not trying to bully you, how could I?
You STILL have not, in anyway acknowledged that you have wronged the NR. You owe them money and they are entitled to ask for it back.0 -

Do you think a creditor ever has acknowledged that they have wronged when they failed to prove they had a valid CCA?
Trust me they dont, they just issue a CCJ in the hope you dont defend it, even though its unlawfull, because if you dont defend you lose by default, not proof
So yes creditors morals are without question in all this, if you egnore the truthThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….
