the correct address for any complaints in writing is
IKEA Customer Relations,
Kingston Park,
Fletton,
Peterborough, PE2 9ET
they have an entire team there dealing just with write in's!
ikea recently changed there focus to the customer (yes they listerned how many others have done that?)
and now are looking to do there best to help you the public, that said some people will never be happy you cant fool yourself and think you can make everyone happy, thats a dream!
what i see here is a lot of old complaints that stick in your minds and sour the experiance for everyone else because your lowering your expectations to the basement and not giving them a fair crack.
in my experience you will get a lot futher with a kind word that a hostile mind, dont forget we are all human and we all make mistakes from what i have seen and experienced ikea is man enough to admit its mistakes and make amends (shame not everyone else can including customers!)
theres my 2 cents worth!:j
My 2 cents worth - check the date of the thread that you are replying to before posting advice. This post is years old. Don't think the OP will still be worrying about their bed.0 -
Whilst I'm normally in agreement about newbies posting praise, I do have to
wonder in this case why on earth a company with 330+ Stores in 38 countries and
a turnover over several billion would bother to post that on our little message
board. If this were Bob's furniture in the high street I could understand, but
Ikea? Seems doubtful to be honest.
Whilst it's true that anyone could easily find out the correct place to send letters of complaint, how many people who were not affiliated with Ikea would state someting like:they have an entire team there dealing just with write in's!and now are looking to do there best to help you the public,0 -

Maybe from experience? Who knows. Perhaps goblinking will be back and elaborate.0 -
quick gripe on ikea, had a delivery this morning, 2 days after requested delivery. Spent over £1,000 plus delivery £35. A Desk Top was damaged en route, no warning, no phonecall or email letting me know, now awaiting contact from distribution team, to find out more, because after 20mins of waiting - in a queue - no 'advisors' were able to advise me on whats happening or when I will be called, or when the desk top I ordered 2 weeks ago will be delivered.
Terrible, terrible customer service.
p.s. I wont be mentioning the double mattress dumped in the foyer of my flat, because 2 young men had decided after carrying out their risk assessment they could not deliver it to my front door despite being paid £35. But it would be fine for me to do it by myself!!!
Seriously AVOID IKEA DELIVERY SERVICE like the plague0 -
Does anyone know a working
- email address
- or even a fax number
for getting in touch with IKEA. I know my local store manager is Gary Pearce, but don't have his email address
- I can't get through on the phone
- the web form is reporting a 12 day response time
- when I tried to use it the form was broken
- the web chat is broken
- the twitter account doesn't look that active
- their facebook page doesn't allow posts by visitors
Yes it's about deliveries. In my case they date they originally set when I made the order changed (to an inconvenient date) so I need to change it.
Ideas welcome otherwise I'll write to them and am half minded to cancel the order on principle. If that fails I paid on CC so will just tell them I can't contact ikea and complain. let them sort it out. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

Your CC issuer can't help with delivery issues and if you cancel the order, it will be down to you to sort the refund out with Ikea. Not the CC issuer.0 -
Ikea are the Ryanair of furniture. no frill but cheap. If you want customer service, go the John Lewis.0

I helped a friend with an Ikea cs issue as they were nearly going mad dealing with them. I had to resort to sneaky tactics to get to speak to a manager on the phone and I have to say they made mistake after mistake even after that-now on my list of companies never to get things delivered from.worst organised company I've ever dealt with. However I still like their stuff but would only buy off the shopfloor. They use contractors to deliver and I think they pay them in peanuts....0

I totally agree that Ikea's customer services sucks.
They appear to have nothing but contempt for their customers.
My friend use to work there as a supervisor and she told me a very little known fact: Any customer who has been forced to return to the store because of missing parts or faulty goods is entitled to a petrol allowance.
I can't remember what it is but they pay you per mile.
You need proof of you address.
She hasn't worked there for about two years so this may no longer be the case.
But, it's worth asking for it anyway.
They do still do this - although you have to ask. My OH had to return to store about 18 miles away as we found that cupboard door was smashed when we opened the packaging. They asked for his postcode when he took it back for an exchange, he sarcastically said 'why...is that for my mileage expenses, and was taken aback when she said, well we can pay you mileage'0
