the sky variety and news channels are £17 anyway with nospecial offer , i am on that and have paid £17 for a long time .

Yes - Line rental too. I told them that £5 per month was not in my budget - after all I was going to cancel sky saving £47 per month, and they were offering new customers sky talk for 3 months for free. The operator spoke to her supervisor and I got the line rental free for a year !!

The £45 incl installation though is likely to be for the 1st time only....thats what is ridiculous, it is £199 for a replacement box once you have already had the reduced 1st price....

  • Hello everyone

I have a sky+ box downstairs, and multi room upstairs. total cost £32 per month

agreed with partner last week, whislt we love having sky upstairs we dont need multi room and will get rid and use a MAGIC EYE, and buy a new sky + remote, so we can be in cotnrol upstairs or down

    two rpoblems

SKY + BOX has lost all power. Nothing, no lights. put in an old sky box and it works fine, phoned technical and they want £65 to send an engineer out

Cant get magic eye to work!

Re prob 1 - phoned sky to ask how much for a replacement sky+ box and they are calling back

    any tips or ideas?

Threaten to cancel, I have done this numerous times over the years when our box has had problems. They have always offered to fix / replace it to keep our custom.

We're getting Sky+ soon. Does anyone know if we Sky plus lots of movies what would happen if we then cancelled the movie option to save money? I'm thinking of doing this. Would we still be able to watch the movies we'd recorded on Sky plus?

Also if we cancel the movie option, are there still movies available on the Sky Anytime option?

Many thanks to anyone who can help. :A

If you do not subscribe to the movies you cannot watch them either recorded or on Anytime

Thanks for that. Oh well. Doesn't seem fair though that you can record the movies you pay for at the time, but then can't watch them if you cancel subsequently. After all you'd only be watching what you'd already paid for - not new movies.

Thanks anyway, at least I know. :D
