What a waste of space CS were!
I can't belive they told you to go back and argue with SA!
I had a similar problem with a No7 GWP a while ago but CS were very good.
My argument is that as a regular customer with a Ad Card why should I not get the gift that any other customer can have just because I am paying with points hard earned by spend lots of money in Boots!
(OK using TD mag coupons and buying JK nailfiles LOL!)
I hope your email works !:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

I stumbled across a bargain yesterday in a large Boots store yesterday.
Their No 7 sun protection range was reduced to half price, but was also buy one get one free - effectively making it a quarter of the price.
However, you can also use the No 7 voucher off against it AND get a free make-up bag gift (think it says worth £31) if you spend over £20 against the pre BOGOF price.
Basically managed to get about £40 worth of sun protection (which I intended to buy anyway), plus a free gift (£31), plus a toothbrush, plus a pack of face-wipes (free on skincare voucher) for £12!
Was quite astonished that it worked, as I thought it might have been incorrectly marked on the shelf!
I'm not very good with extra points coupons etc. but I'm sure there's some that could be used ...
Oh, and I got another £5 and £5 voucher!!0 -

Morning peeps

It's obvious that there's been a lack of customer care shown towards you imo and as a last resort I'd snail mail Boots. You shouldn't have to 'challenge' a SA (what the hell - who wants to do that? I certainly wouldn't). I'm only suggesting snail mail as I seem to recall one poster at least who seemed to gain more headway by doing it that way rather than emailing or phoning.
When I first started Bootsing in earnestit was a manic time as it was just after Christmas and during a time when there was a similar situation as there is now - till splits that everyone was using and I knew that some of the stores' staff were harrassed by people asking what these splits could be used on. Myself and OH were shocked at the way a couple (or more) members of staff were actually raising their voices at the customers, but when it happened to my OH the red mist descended.
I waited until my blood pressure had lowered itselfand sat down to type a very long email listing everything that we'd witnessed and every occasion that we'd had bad service, when it had happened, where it happened, but didn't name the SA's involved - I figured that if they wanted to they could figure it out for themselves just by looking at the history of my transactions.
I also mentioned that to get to their stores it was a 30 mile round trip in some cases, and that the parking charges were always a minimum of £1.80
At the time there were a few posters who were just as disgruntled as myself and my OH, and many were awarded points - a lot of points in some cases. There seemed to be an influx of posters who were complaining and posting about how many points they'd been awarded and my own interpretation of this was that some people were complaining just to gain points.
Because of this, and because I really was livid about the poor service I thought we'd received, I mentioned in my email that I wasn't looking for any form of compensation, an apology would have been sufficient or even a reassurance that the staff should be reminded that good manners costs nothing. I think Sod's Law in reverse happened as I received a considerable amount of points as compensation.
Please don't think I'm suggesting that you're looking for compensation because that's the furthest thing from my mind, but it's obvious to me that you've received poor service on at least two occasions, which, in my opinion, is two too many. It's bad enough when sales assistants let you down, but it's even worse when Customer Services don't seem to care either - something else that has been noticed by a few other posters in recent months. So for that reason alone, I'd put pen to paper and write it all down. (I seem to recall that one of the posters knew the best address to send any written complaints to. I can't recall who it was at the time but I'm sure someone will know).
Sorry for the long post and for being slightly off topic, but poor service is totally unacceptable and a sure way for Boots to lose customers and S*perdrug to gain them.
Good luck x

Hiya! I think you are quite local to me - were all your fantastic perfume bargains from one of the Cheltenham stores?
TIA,
