Evening Everyone
Long thread today, so better add my pennyworth, but first of all
:bdaycake: Masters Pixie & Mix, and Poppyoscars Mum (I think)
I has been a nice day here generally, apart from two short but heavy showers, with sunshine in between. Managed to get two lots of washing dry. Got a problem with a tablecloth though, got blackberry juice on it this weekend, a wash with Arial left grey marks where they had been, washed it again after putting Stardrops on them, though not leaving it long before re-washing it again. Any suggestions?
lyndsey-ann - I am sure that the local Consumer Protection folk are investigating abuse of clamping, please write and state the circumstance to them, it may not result in any success, but it cannot hurt. There was a program on it only a short time ago.
Stef - how did it go with Dragon Lady? RedRuby - please take it easy, and let the family look after you for a change. Pen-Pin - please don't shy away I was going to ask today where you were. I wouldn't be too surprised at DH's language, most men have it, but do not use in in front of us. Pen-Pen when we walked down our local lane, and picked blackberries, we saw a couple of damson trees, but the fruit was really small more cherry like. I know they are not as big as plums, but should be bigger than that, Jannyannie - I love the radio on, DH like you dislikes it, I switch it on and if I move out of the room for 30 seconds, he switches it off:rolleyes: Zoe there are only a few who are pure OS, though I like crafty things (and the PC OS?:rotfl: ) and although not being a total fan of cooking do cook main meals mainly for scratch, and always have done mainly because I do not like many things put in ready meals (onions & garlic:o I know I'm strange) but there are half way measures, and the SC was certainly put to good use when I worked full time+, I would put mince in before going to work, and if no time to prepare I would quickly thaw some mixed frozen veg in the microwave and add that, a Jacket Spud in the Microwave, or a pan of pasta, and 20 mins after walking in you have a meal. As for housework - I had a cleaner/ironer. Neither cost saving, but my salary easily covered it. I loved going to work, and never wanted to be at home, stayed at home with DS for his first 6 months, but not my happiest time, so I just made it possible to work by making home easier. I revelled in the stress and politics, and if DH was not at home too, would want to be working now. Well I have already said I am strange. Maybe you need a check up to see why you are so tired, are you on your own or with a DP/DH? If with someone do they do their share? Good job we are not all the same;) . Glad Mr Pooky likes his new job - hope it lasts. Hi Dorry my DH rants aout news items without listening to the whole of them and drives me mad with it
Jackie0 I was having a NSD as well, until DH wanted some new car mats, which I ended up finding on ebay, and ordering, and while on looked for a wii fit bag to take it with us to Spain, was one which was on auction which had a Buy it Now price of £12.99, no-one had bid, so I just but the opening bid of £7.99 in and won:j :j :j . My ironing is now just the Malverns, instead of Snowdonia. Atta gal mummysaver - glad they came to their senses, Hope you are OK after your fall. Good news about the BP Anniebl. Tidy, me, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: it's DH who is tidy - he does leave the craft stuff alone, but when I do cook/bake, I turn round to use a spoon, and it's already in the DW:eek:
. Wannabesybil - LB like all LO's are smarter than we give them credit for, they will run us, and dangle us on a string. They do understand and play up big style if thy think they can get away with it. Maybe share your meal plan for the next few days with DH then he won't bring F&C in without noice. joanneinwonderland - welcome, I would have left the soup, as I leave onions out deliberately. Dazi - good luck for the interview tomorrow. ((Silvercharming)) - Jayward - I am sure everyone will join with me with fingers crossed that our DH isn't made redundant. Welcome lucysmam - we are Ok - honest, slightly insane, but OK,
(((hugs)))) to those not 100% and  to everyone else. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
I have simmered down a little now. I suppose I was taught to stand up to bullying and nasty behaviour, which has got me into trouble before and will again
Oh well, I'd still do it every time. Do you know, there was a story in our local paper last week about two men setting fire to a lady's hair on the bus (grown men, mind - one of them was in his fifties). Everyone on the bus was sufficiently aware to shout and tell and the woman she was alight, and to tell the Cov Telegraph their eyewitness accounts after, the bus driver even radioed his depot, but the two men, quote, got off the bus at the next stop. !!!!!!????? Was there really not one person on that bus who felt sufficiently annoyed to do anything?! Did nobody have the imagination to think how they would feel if it were them, or their wife, or their daughter? I simply don't believe that they were 'too scared'. They just didn't want the hassle of getting involved.
Oh great, now I'm fired up again! Seriously, though, I was talking to OH about it and his mate was there and the mate said he'd have kept his head down because it was nothing to do with him. :mad:0 -

I think there must be tidy crafters Celyn, well according to my OH, I hate doing it while he is here as he fusses round putting things away. I suppose this is because he lives in his cab all week and he has to put things away but theres nothing more annoying than him putting the glue bottle back under the sink when I am half way through something:mad:
Mr Sharing caring once sorted out all my craft stuff - all the "sticks and needles" were in one box - knitting, crochet, sewing. All the "string" in another - wool, sewing thread, embroidery and so on - I nearly died
silvercharming - well done to you. i wish someone had done that when I was a battered child - might have gone some way to prevent me from becoming a battered wife.
Dragon lady - not in till thursday which is when my boss is back from his long holiday. She knows better than to report me to his deputy as she has put her under some sort of performance review in his absence - so we wait on
jo - best of luck with the apointment(s)
Hi LucysmamI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Phew, I sped read but will absorb more tomorrow, I'm exhausted tonight. Got quite a bit achieved today but the list seems endless. I packed up painting at 4.30. sat down to clean candle sticks etc. in front of Deal or no Deal. DH made dinner so I had a long hot soak listening to my music, had a bit to eat, checked through mail, phoned DMum then popped on here. Will catch up tomorrow, have a good evening all.
Hi LUCYSMAM, hope you will enjoy this thread.0
