Whilst we're there I get a text from xbfs mother  : "just checking, is that aerial at yours". Exactly as I just typed it; no hello, please or thankyou or goodbye or even names  . Dropped by xbfs on the way home & shoved it through the letter box without knocking...knowing dam well that the dog chews everything that hits the mat :rotfl:

I have a strange and unfortunate mental image of the dog (having swallowed the aerial) perched beside the tv, and having to adjust its position for each channel. Is "sit" the new Channel 4? :D

Such a shame the aerial didn't work...;)...and nice work in avoiding the ex.

    Hello,

First I have to apologise for declaring a NSWeekend when the truth is I left here last night & went straight on to Amazon to order books :o .

So, although I have had a NSD today I'm not adding it to the total. I have already confessed over on the February NSD challenge & also remarked how scary it is that money leaving your bank account doesnt feel very real  .

I have slightly redeemed myself by making a payment of £60 to CC1. The balance on that is now £ 3534.77 & the total debt is now £6,018.39. I am soooo fed up with this chipping away at the debt & now considering not worrying about all the funds for now & just throwing everything at the debt. Then again, the boss has lost another customer this week  & I wasnt exactly rushed off my feet today so maybe I should just be plumping up the emergency fund. Still no word from leaflet man but not too worried as I have the leaflets...& the weather is just vile, so vile that I've been looking at pretty wellies on ebay :o Stop me now, because I have one pair.. to wear on my one pair of feet  . But they are only £10 including delivery & will make me happy . * Needs sarah to back me up & justify this purchase*:D

No calls from xbf :j he's taken to emailing me now which is fine because I can either ignore them or dash off some scathing reply in my own time. As to the O/F (Other/Freak  ) not a word, thankfully.

Now going to check out waterproof coats to go with wellies - apparently a coat is not clothes :rotfl:

    bye for now

Well now. If you get the wellies you will be happy, so that's good. They are not included in the challenge so no problem there. They are a bargain. If you wear them at your allotment, every time you look down they will make you smile, in fact you will probably spend longer there than usual so you can keep admiring them.

This will lead to more excercise, more fresh air, more free food (thus saving money), a sense of achievement about your own hard work and all done with a smile on your face and the happy glow of knowing you are wearing something fab. Hope that helps.:D

    * wonders how she ever managed without sarahs clear & logical thinking* :D

Have to confess I had no intention of wearing them at the allotment - far too pretty to get muddy  however, if I get to wear pretty wellies then it is true that i am more likely to go there. I may get laughed at by everyone else there but this is a small price to pay & well worth it so :T :A .

It's been rather boring here today & I've had to bake some more hobnobs to alleviate this (& avoid doing any chore type activites)

It appears that the boss has indeed decided to diversify into a cleaning business & fully expects to find plenty of customers willing to pay £20 an hour for this service :rotfl: I have decided against joining this venture but I shall however, be watching with great interest.

Still no word from leaflet man but I'm still assuming that this is due to ridiculous weather conditions; will leave it until friday & then ring him. The river/stream across the fields - usually hidden due to being in a valley - has burst it's banks & is spreading itself up the hill much to the consternation of the sheep  .

We went to the library to get more books :D & popped in to the co op to get bread, eggs & milk only to discover there was no milk  . So, I had to spend £2.81 today & will have to spend again tomorrow just for milk  & losing a NSD.

The xbf sent an email full of woe & drama ... I deleted it with joy & no drama  . Cant remember how long it's been but I'm sure it's months since the gazebo desptaching ... he really needs to get a life.

Feeling the freedom & loving every minute :j

Off to 'look' at wellies on ebay again - so many I just cant choose :D

Morning all & what a beautiful sunny one :D

I've been working the karma this morning; went to local charity shop to hand in huge bag of clothes no longer required & managed to leave without buy anything although I was almost tempted by a Laurence Llewyn-Bowen style book... then remembered I have my own so dont need anyone elses thank you ;) .

Trip to lovely Waitrose bought some fab fresh veg & was then browsing by the books when I got a call from the counsellor I've been waiting to see. Said I'd call back & promptly decided that this was sign that I should buy the "th Frugal Cook" - mainly because it was reduced from £14.99 to £11.99 :D . Delia is lovely but she does scare me rigid although I did notice she has her own frugal book out but hers was still £14.99  .

I must go to waitrose more often because it reminds me how much I hate tesco & therefore must get out of debt so that I can go to waitrose more often  ... I am :rotfl: .

I stocked up on big bags of pasta because it tastes soooo much better than any other brand I've tried, got some incredibly cheap bananas -79p for 5 :D another waitrose + point - all their bananas are fair trade & my litle monkey eats loads of them. also got a huge brick of cheese as again their own brand is so much more tasty than tesco so we use less & it's crumbly rather than bendy - always a good thing where cheese is concerned

I also bought a tin of beeswax furniture polish for a scary £ 6.25  but it should help as all the furniture is looking a tad shabby right now & I keep yearning for new stuff :o .

Got home & rang the counsellor who sounds lovely. I've been on a waiting list since last year & the woman I had initial assessment with was very scary & intimidating & the more I told her about my life the worse I felt; her only comment was "you've had a lot of loss". Yeeeesss; sadly not in the weight department though:rolleyes:. Part of me feels that I've dealt with losing my mum & should just get on with it... but then another part of me thinks it could be quite interesting to see what the counsellor makes of my life. At the time of the initial assessment I was in full swing with the xbf & hating him but still clinging on so I'm hoping that having now got rid of him the counselling wil encourage me to steer very clear of all similar types in the future.

Right, off to update siggy & then look at new book

    bye for now

Have been avoiding the Quest all day today :o .

First of all I've been seething about work ( again  ) Boss back to old tricks of giving cheaper workers my share  consequence is that I've not broken even this week & am very cross with myself for having a spendy week; that always happens when I know everythings' about to fall apart  .

The xbf called while I was working  was as unpleasant as possible & he seemed to get the hint. Two hours later he turned up with his dog asking how to get to somewhere we used to go walking that's bout 3 miles from his house & all of those in the opposite direction from my house:rolleyes: . Was so angry about Boss that I just told him to go away & shut the door :o .

Rang leaflet man who told me that yes the job is still mine but they might have to change some wording on the leaflets so should be starting in a couple of weeks. Actually quite relieved as that means no half term hassle & now feel reassured of job & maybe if I can find another few hours work somewhere else can tell Boss to shove it ;) .

My lovely neighbour over the road brought over some photos she took of DD & I when we built the snowman, I was so touched it really cheered me up :). We took her over a card & some cookies to say thank you & she was delighted ; karma restored.

Xbf rang again  he's got a job  only part time & working as a carer which made me laugh as he's the most self obsessed git in the world... he only ever rings to talk about him or tell me what to do; todays offering was to host Ann Summers parties  Cannot think of anything worse - just going to one was ordeal enough :( So fed up with him.

We have new neighbours in one of the fields at the end of the garden ; 2 lovely pony/horses ( dont know the difference :o ) they're great & will attempt to make friends over the week end :D .

Chekced online banking for the first time this week which was pretty stupid as I realised I got the date of one of my direct debits wrong so.... the rent was about to bounce tomorrow morning  Rang the bank immediately & a lovely lady who is now my new best friend just changed the rent standing order to monday so I could pay money in tomorrow & will then change it back to friday again as of next week  . She reckons it wont even be noticed :j . What a brilliant service - fully recommend co operative :A .

Think I need to check banking everyday from now on  .

Feeling completely wrung out with highs & lows at the moment & family stuff waking me up in the night so going to sneak off to bed now to catch up on sleep

    G'nite
