Hmmm, not sure it will work as man deterrent. Isn't there that cheesy librarian thing, you know take off glasses and shake out hair from bun....why Miss Lula who knew??
:rotfl: only someone who had never seen me could say that ... have hair like an explosion in spring factory- think Simply Red blokey but dark  The xbf could never understand why i wouldnt go to the sauna with him  . DD's is going the same way & she refuses to eat crusts just to be on the safe side, hasnt quite grasped the concept of genes yet
sympathy on the annoying day ... suggest  to recover :j0 -
Wow, I'd love hair like that! Mine is pretty straight and not very thick....
Indeed, have a bottle of 15 yr old whisky that I won in a raffle last week so may have to crack it open!
Have a good one!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Your glasses sound fab Lula. My fave pair make me look like the sohisticated woman from the Matrix Reloaded. Unfortunately the lens tint is so dark that I walk into walls in the UK on shady days. The price one pays to look glamorous.
In the rain I look like I have a bad afro and its considerably more grey than I'd like but I can't be bothered dying it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hey Moo,
liking the sound of your glasses  although perhaps you need a radar fitted. I had a pair of those light & dark ones but they just seemed to be grey all the time & people looked at me weirdly
. People are looking at me weirdly now though & DD says I look funny  but I love them & more importantly I feel like a new person, or the old one in disguise :rotfl: . Sadly my locks are not the glossy & luscious variety... more the fine & frizzy  so having drawn the short straw there I insist on keeping the grey at bay for now
.
I've had a nsd day today & am very miffed to discover that the direct debit I paid £10 in to cover hasnt even gone out  - that's 2 bottles of wine I've missed out on  .
The xbf reared it's head last night  : " hello, it's me, can you hear me ?"
me : "yes unfortunately, what do you want ?"
xbf : " have you got that tv aerial still, mum's asking for it cos we need it back"
me : " really, they're about £5 from the shop & I havent asked for my microwave, toaster, ghetto blaster, nintendo or bookshelf that I gave you back  & I am using it"
xbf : "the lodger needs it
me : *checking price of freeview boxes in argos - £20  * "I'll drop it off tomorrow, bye bye...click"
Popped over to see Dad for coffee this morning & took him some of the hobnobs which he was very chuffed with... he wasnt aware that I could do anything other than stick a chicken & some aunt bessies roasties in the oven.
Whilst we're there I get a text from xbfs mother  : "just checking, is that aerial at yours". Exactly as I just typed it; no hello, please or thankyou or goodbye or even names  . Dropped by xbfs on the way home & shoved it through the letter box without knocking...knowing dam well that the dog chews everything that hits the mat :rotfl:
Collected DDs friend & went for a lovely walk in the woods. Felt so good to be alive & most of all free from all the donkeyholes that have plagued my life over the years :j .
Came home & girls played, had tea, played some more then took friend home, it's calm, peaceful & happy here & that is worth more than anything :happyhear0 -
Lula - ur are a star, I nearly wet myself laughing at the thought of the door chewing the aeriel......... xx
WELL DONE GIRL XXxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
thanks mum2one
It's the little things in life that give so much pleasure some times. Strangely there's been no text or call from the mother to say thank you for dropping it off, how rude

 at aerial nonsense
:j at cunning dog munching aerial plan
I like the idea of the long walk - I always think that kind of thing clears your head - sadly not so easy for me to find good places for that but I like to go for a walk when at my parents or friends places.
I must find this hobnob recipe - I love them, especially dunked into a cup of tea...I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

I've been great today.
Dear DD woke me up at 8 by kissing my nose :happyhear apparently I was so still & quiet she thought I might have died  I explained that this phenomenon was called sleeping peacefully & best left intact in future  . I did get a cup of tea & another hour in bed reading to make up for it.
Cleared out the entire chest of drawers in the living room - it's been glaring at me for months. Most of it was rubbish & the rest could be condensed into far less drawers so I now have 2 lovely empty ones :j .
A beautiful sunny day today so we went for a long walk to my favourite place nearby & felt totally refreshed & re-energised. It was very very muddy so we had great fun squelching in it & making those fab sucky noises.
Came home & had a pleasant afternoon which was only slightly marred by the xbf calling, again  . This time to say that the aerial didnt fit so I could have it back & he could drop it round.... rrrright, saw that one coming & the next line about us getting back together  . Made it clear that although there were no hard feelings... I'd moved on way beyond going back there again. As if to emphasise that I had made the right decision, his mother later sent me a rude & not funny at all joke textshe's nearly 60
. There are far too many sandwiches missing from that family's picnic & I consider myself lucky to have escaped  .
Enough of these ridiculous scenarios....
It has been a NSWeekend :j & I am now just waiting for the money to hit my account so that I can pay the next instalment on CC1. I've also got a bit of spend planned on Amazon
I always use the local library for reading & stuff i dont need to keep but these are some fab refernce type books that will be re read so it's worth making the purchase & with free delivery
.
I'm hoping to hear from chappie about starting the leafletting this week as long as it doesnt snow again & must also get myself to the charity shop as I keep adding to the pile from my wardrobe.
Chocolate & my book is calling me now so
bye for now
lula
