I had a cashier do that to me, so I took a jar of coffee out of my shopping and told her to put it through as a seperate transaction so I could use my other coupon (only had 2 out of a £25 shop).0

I used 6 vouchers including a Joey one to a value of approx. £6 this am at Tesco Broughton. Went through no problem used my Clubcard though.0

Have used coupons at Tesco and Asda in Telford no problem previously but went to Tesco yesterday and was told that they will now only accept one coupon per transaction for products not bought.
This was using my clubcard as well0 -
Tesco at Purley have put a lid on only 10% plus no printed computer coupons even supervisor moaned about the ones from zing!

Have been using the self scan tills for the past few weeks. Each time I have zapped about £4 worth of coupons (not buying the items they are intended for) off £20 ish spends. I think if your store has these tills it's the way to go to get rid of the more obscure coupons that the cashiers may look twice at and possibly refuse. I've been using the Tesco Extra in Stockport.0

I went to the Kingsteignton Tesco yesterday. I had 10 vouchers worth about £8, including a Joey. When I got to the tills I queued up at the till of a lady I had last week, who was chatty about my vouchers, and thought the Joey one was brilliant, even though her queue was longer. When I had put all my stuff on the belt, someone came up and relieved her for her coffee break! But the new lady put all my vouchers through no problem. £25 shop, down to £17, then I used the £6 bonus voucher Tesco gave mewith my clubcard Xmas savers, so that brought it down to £11 and change. Very nice.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0

Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
I've never been able to use a voucher for something I haven't bought. But my ex used to work for Tesco and said there's a "mangled voucher" button, which can allow anything throughComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Tesco's in Ingleby Barwick have clamped down on Coupons, the lady said you can only use the coupons now if you have bought the product. I said i don't believe it, that's changed all of a sudden, she let me scan them through this time anyway.
The till didn't bleep or anything the lady knows me and knows i use coupons so she came across and told me, had she not been so busy she would have given them back to me.
I am now gutted as i have quite a stash of coupons here.0 -
Sorry, I know this is a Tesco thread but I had a nasty shock in Sainsburys yesterday when the assistant annunced she couldn't take my vouchers unless I'd bought the items. When I queried this, she said it had 'been like that for ages' - well that was news to me as other assistants have taken them! I didn't have a lot either, only 3 worth in total about £1.50, so I might start shopping at Asda & Tescos instead which is a shame because I do like Sainsburys!0
