HI everyone. RedRuby - you take care of yourself. My Mum has had pleurisy and it's horrible. Please don't overdo it until you are properly better.
(((Hugs))) to Chrisca - hope the day goes as well as it can.
Dazi - good luck with the interviews
Dorry - thank heavens he's gone back to work!
I can vouch for the vinegar as a softener but the soapnuts I've been using make everything really soft. Even my DH has noticed!
Well, I went to the garden centre and bought two heated propagators for DS1's birthday on Sunday. Right next door to the garden centre is Hobbycraft. As I parked up, I said to myself
'you only need to go to the garden centre, ignore Hobbycraft' and did I? I spent almost an hour in there and came out £18 lighter! Just as well I found some unexpected money when I was turning out my handbag this morning! Still, I don't feel too guilty because most of what I bought is Christmas presents and I did quite well because they have a lot of stuff on 'sale' at the moment.
Anyway, I also went to the gym and enjoyed that and when I came home the postie had been and one of the big quotes that DH did recently has been accepted! It just has to be approved by the borough council because it's to install a bathroom for a disabled resident who lives in a council house. Would you believe that a loo for a disabled person costs over £2500? And that doesn't include any extras - just a loo!
Well, I'm mioliering (just living up to my name!) so I will go and have some lunch and then do some proper work!
By the way, the sun is shining and the washing is drying on the line. Yay!
See you later.

Sorry taplady,, I was really saying about the price of electric,, as our gas has gone up 34% and the electric about 15% ,,,i got rid of my TD last year ,,as I used it even when I didnt need to ,,
I put the vinegar in the conditioner drawer and then you dont have to be up at the time..
I dont feel the need for conditioner any more as the vinegar makes things lovely and soft
Forgive me
Ann xx
no offence taken!:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
what sort of vinegar? I have brown malt will that do:D
Officially you shouldn't use brown malt, as the 'brown' is caused by caramel that could theoretically stain. But I have used it many a time with no ill effects... lets face it, it's a darn sight cheaper than white stuff, even in bulk!
If I want lovely clean bright fluffy towels I soak them in water and lemon juice for a while before washing as usual. I imagine white vinegar would do a similar job.0 -
happy anniversey aussie and dh, dont tire him out too much;)
hugs to redruby, take it easy

Now then Twink, you have to decide, is it just a kind offer as you have not holiday for years, or is it so that Susie has some female backup with the 4 fellas, or is it a ready to hand babysitter so she can drag DH off to "trip the light fantastic". lol
I am sure it is the former. Hope you enjoy your break Susie, I am sure you are more than ready for one.

Greetings earthlings :hello:
Miss Twit's hair is looking slightly better, the lightening kit came out very patchy, so I popped to Boots this morning and got a semi permanent colour in a light brown......needless to say, it's still not perfect so I'll pick up another couple in slightly darker shades....I'm sure we'll get there.
I've not achieved a great deal this morning, but I have been sorting out my jam jars ready for tomorrows foraging trip
Catowen, I read your post yesterday, your poor son and daughter. Your son must feel awful as it sounds as though ExOh is criticising you in front of him and he is now of an age where he can see this and your daughter who just gets left out. Maybe if treated her better and remembered her, she might decide to go with him....but who can blame her for not bothering. It sounds as though you are well rid of him....hugs to you all.....
Stefe...hope you've enjoyed your shopping expedition
N9eav, good to see you got back in one piece, tits indeed
Oh well, I'd better go and do something useful.
Hugs to those in need.

Afternoon all
Have skimmed the thread, big hugs to anyone who wants one. REDRUBY that's nasty, hope you feel better soon.
AUSSIE congratulations to you and your OH:beer: .
Have been doing jobs this morning. All set for school on Thursday, have just ironed loads of labels on. OH bought DS his new school shoes, just as well as they cost £34:eek: . I don't know what people do with more than one child. DSS has set a date for his wedding, 4th September 2010. I am in charge of stuff to keep the kids amused during the speeches. This month is going to be really expensive, have loads of birthdays and my wedding anniversary coming up. Am trying to eat out of the freezer this week and use up all my leftovers.
Might take DS to the beach in a mo. Weather not too bad here but very windy. washing should be dry soon.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all,
Well, I've read through the thread, but I fear I haven't taken in a lot, as I'm very muzzy-headed again. I think I'm stressing badly over my hospital appointment tomorrow.
So I'll just put plenty of ((((((hugs)))))), help yourselves!
Made a shepherds pie yesterday, with soya mince, and managed to make enough for 2 days, (ie kept Mr LW's sticky mitts off the 2nd half) so no need to cook tonight. And there's a bit of apple and cinnamon pie to use up for pud.
I don't think I'm going to get much done today, as I can't concentrate on anything for 2 mins at a stretch, but we did get ahead with some of today's jobs yesterday, so it's not too bad.
Have a good day everyone.
Oh yes, and Happy Anniversary Aussielass. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
