    Evening All

Been absolutely rubbish at getting on here lately. I have been lurking, but not posted.

Had a busy old life as ever. Was at a BBQ on Saturday night, which was great.

Mum's made strawberry jam and scones. She wants to make damson jam now, so will have to hunt some damsons out. Received some free veggies from the gardener. He brought us some runner beans, beetroot and sweetcord, and someone else has offered me some chillis they've grown.

Ordered a Sainsbury's voucher from toluna, so hopefully that will help with Christmas.

Off to Spain on Saturday, so lots to do between now and then!!!

    Hope everyone's ok

    afternoon all,

I have been taking it easy I promise, i really dont feel up to doing much at all, dd hoovered through downstairs for me, I did mop the kitchen floor, but that was only because dd had spilt some juice and it was sticky, I put a load in the machine and dd hung it out, she has also peeled the spuds and done the veg, and is now cooking the dinner with me supervising, she has been an :A today, have started on my tablets so will hopefully be on the mend soon.

    Lamewolf, good luck for tomorrow

    xx

Redruby ,,, take things easy and let the ''angels ''do there thing or I will win our game of scrabble and the other

    see you soon

Redruby - for goodness sakes - REST - and big hugs - sounds nasty

well shopping was mildly traumatic - me and the rest of the last minute panic brigade. I wouldn't mind but I did my half before the end of term. Mr Caring sharing's £70 covered coat shoes and trousers. I paid for the bag - a bl00dy tenner for a glorified pe bag that's going to cut into her shoulders but what do i know? dd(11) decided to buy the stationary herself after changing her money - good job too as that came to £25 - most of it on Hello Kitty stuff. Then we went to the 99p store. What larks - I always make dd go up and ask how much everything is and she obligingly does - on the gifted and talented list but hasn't cottoned on to that one yet. dd(19) informs me that there is a poundland opening near us on thursday and I am sadly excited.

after all her jet setting dd(11) says she wants something plain and english for tea - i think I can just about manage egg chips and beans. she had frogs legs and snails in france and something that she informs me was called sossissossison - i think she means saucisson LOL
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Good for you! I get a buzz anytime I do something I have put off and it's a great feeling when you do something like that. It's a pity about the list but never mind, you did what it and that's what matters

Redruby glad to hear that you are taking things easy - we're all watching you, you know :D

Thank you very much for all your kind thoughts for today. Feel happy now that mum is with dad again. No tears today, just a sort of contented feeling :o Wasn't until we had been home a few hours that I realised that I had left the deeds for the grave at the office  I had put them on the coffee table under my handbag after the official came out and gave them back to me, and when the man came out carrying mum's ashes and introduced himself, we just got up and I picked my handbag up and walked out with him. They couldnt find them when I rang up earlier but a couple of their staff had gone home so the receptionist is going to ask them tomorrow if they had found them and put them away for safekeeping.

Amongst the things I brought home from my mum's flat was a small pair of clogs that, I think, my dad brought home from Holland for his mum during the time he was there during WWII. They are really dark through years of sitting in a room full of smokers. Does anyone have any suggestions what I might be able to try to clean them with? I always liked them and would like to see what colour the wood is under all that fug

    Have a good evening everyone
