, any hoo I am going to the Dr at 10 this morning, so hopefully he can sort me out.

Morning all,
Plan today is to empty the last bedroom ready for a make over, I'll box up everything, did some last night, and put in the garage. I find it easier to start with a blank canvas. Thought I'd do the hall ceiling when doing the bedroom one, was meant to do the hall last week but blitzed DD2's house instead. I have mixed my own paint to the right colour for the walls, cheaper than B&Q mixing. I buy a small tin of deep base paint then mix with 5 ltrs of white.
I felt in a polishing mood y/day, I found a tin of polish when moving stuff from kitchen to new utility, it's called Ronuk wax, anyone remember it? it's years old and don't think it's made anymore, anyway I put it on the piano and tables then had a  moment and used DH's battery operated car buffer. What a brilliant shine. Orangeglow is good for cleaning wood but not much of a shine. Just read through and what a sad person I am.
BM on and WM bulging with sofa cover from the bedroom, DH has started to carry boxes down already so must get a wiggle on.
AUSSIEGIRL, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. _party_

Morning everyone
Happy Aniversary Aussie
(((hugs))) for those who need one
Have loads to do, still catching up with the washing, WM has finished but not sure about hanging it out as its looking a bit grey out there now, was lovely and sunny when I got up. Didn't do any HW yesterday, I'm always in a bit of a strange mood when I come back from visiting family so must get on with it today.
I have two interviews this week, one I knew about before I went away, the other one, I found on the jobcentre site last week and emailed, an hour later while we were in Mr T getting my mum some shopping I got a phone call to arrange an interview.
We came home with a very early xmas pressie from my parents - a wii fit, have had a go on it and it tells me I am overweight (no suprise there then!) and my age is 1 year older than I am.
Not sure whats for dinner tonight as not sure if OH is home, if its just me it will be chilli, otherwise will get something out of the freezer. Had a MrT delivery yesterday so plenty in there.
Sun has just come out again so think I will risk hanging the washing out.
Have a good day xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Good morning!
ds practised waking up early this morning, and is now driving his sisters nuts! Usually they can bet on a few hours off first thing in the morning lol!
Well I've done the dw, tidied the kitchen, made everyone omlettes for brekkie and now need to get some yeast so I can make some bread - got loads of flour the other day and forgot the yeast, what a dope! Will do that after I've had my coffee and read the thread.
Last check of uniforms and back to school stuff today, dd2 is still on about football boots, but I'm sure we have some in her size in the garage and she never wore her last pair so I'm reluctant to buy her more!
Dinner will be sausage and chips, dd2 did the meal plan this week! She did it pretty well actually and there is quite a variety of stuff, and she's tried to put the foods that take longer to prepare down for the nights I'm not working, so she did think about it. I know she's put down kievs for one night, she is keen to learn how to make these so will have to make sure that she's put them down for a night before they return to school. She was really sweet yesterday and said that when she's grown up she wants to be able to cook anything just like I do! Makes up for dd3 currently hating everything!

Well, I found a stray SevernTrent van round the corner and it would seem it's their fault! They promised me it would only be 5 more minutes. I'm just glad i hadn't got to the shampoo stage of my shower!!!
PO xx

Well, I didn't really manage any sleep. The cat decided that a snuggle on the bed was just what he wanted, so he came and purred really loudly in my ear the whole time I was trying to sleep. I couldn't move him because 1) I read somewhere once that cats purr through a reflex action, so if they purr at you it's because they're genuinely happy, and who am I to argue with that and 2) I was really relieved - the cat didn't eat his dinner last night, so I thought he might have been sickening for something. Evidently not.
So anyway, I'm tired and fuzzy but too awake to be anything other than up and properly about now. My mission for today is to catch up on my laundry and to clean up after Dave's Magical Adventure in Homebrew. Yes, he decided to 'help' me with it yesterday, and I do use that word loosely. I imagine it's the kind of 'help' you get from a nosy three-year-old! We did have a giggle though. We have three and a half gallons nicely racked up in demijohns now, but there are little droplets of blackberry wine all over the place and a lovely red handprint on one of the doors, and he's gone back to work now and left me to deal with it. Boys, eh?! Turns out he wanted the fermentation bucket for one of those beer kits you buy at Wilkinsons. Oh well, I suppose it is moneysaving.
Happy anniversary Aussie  and Mr Aussie too of course!
Bethebee you are not sad! I think I remember Ronuk Wax. It came in a tin and if you left the lid off it went rock solid, then your mum went mad at you. As I recall.
Funkyfairy, if you are within driving distance of Coventry I have a gas cooker you could have?!
Poppyoscar yes they should tell you... you're not in North Wales are you?
Redruby hope you feel better soon :grouphug:
Big hugs to everyone I've missed :grouphug: I'm half asleep and it's taken me 45 minutes to write this far. Have a good day all xx0 -
Morning all.
Have to be quick today as DH is working from homefor a couple of days ,pricing up some work.Don't want him thinking I spend all my time on here
.Actually I've not posted for a few days.Since my birthday on Wednesdsay we've been out every evening. We've had a Diamond wedding celeb (DH aunt and uncle),a charity gig, dinner at friends, then last night the 2 of us went for an Italian meal down the road, all been very nice.
DS1 called yesterday and snaffled my last loaf,so the BM will have to go on shortly.
Tea will be home cooked Lasagne with some left over risotto from the meal out last night.I've never got them to pack leftovers up before but there was loads and the waitress didnt bat an eyelid,so I felt quite moneysaving.
Need to go and stock up on a bit of fresh stuff , and drop a card off for little niece who starts school tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a nice day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
