Hi everyone, (just a quickie) the wedding was well just wonderful!! I only cried once and that was at the first dance of the bride & (very handsome) groom.
As for outfit I wore white wide legged linen trousers, a navy camisole and a lovely navy and white sheer cardigan that I picked up in matalan. A great find really it was. It looked designer, quite sheer and a frill at the end of the 3/4 length sleeves and down the front. It looked very weddingy!! (if there is such a word!!)
SH could you send me the link to your diary please? Does that really mean you are all going to leave me??!!!
SC and YB, I was really inspired by your growing of veggies etc. and mentioned it to DH, and expected it to be ignored but he was really keen!!!!!!!! So we are off this weekend to buy what is needed... I am so excited, any advice? What is good to start with (we are complete novices)
Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments and thoughts. I promise to update more and to visit SH diary as well regularly, if I do will you still come and post on mine??
PRETTY PLEASE????

I'm afraid I am a complete novice too at growing veggies , i bought a gardening mag to help (it had free seeds with it) and so far so good although have only 1 carrot leaf so far lol. the lettuce and rocket are doing well though
long day at work and i am completel k*******d off for a bath soon x0 -
HI SC - if you want quick results raddishes grow really well in pots - it is something you could get the kids to do - I think they are ready to eat in a couple of weeks rather than a couple of months!
I think carrots get eaten easily too so keep an eye out for pests. Have you heard of companion planting and sacrificial crops? The idea is that you plant say marigolds and nasturtians which grow easily from seed, look pretty and attract both beneficial and nasty insects and hopefully get them to leave your real harvest alone! worth a shot.

Hi, I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. It is just starting to rain here but the sun has been out all weekend otherwise.
Following in the steps of SC, YB and SH, we now have a vegetable patch!!! Onions, lettuce and baby carrot seeds planted and basil planted in a pot. I am not holding out too much hope because the soil is so very chalky, but you never know.
How is everyone?
