Thanks for the good wishes. I got thro an exceptionally difficult and challenging interview yesterday - and I am through to a 3rd stage which wasn't originally part of the plan.

Tomorrow I have an assessment test, informal interview and tour for a much more local job. If I get thro that, then I have a second stage about 1.5 weeks...

  • Hi everyone, how are you all?

Life is manic here, the new job is keeping me busy, busy.....but I am enjoying it. Money situ is the same but we are doing ok at the moment.

Sorry for not being around so often, I seem to spend my whole time working or thinking about work at the moment. Oh and driving and drinking coffee... for some reason my caffeine intact has gone mad!! Must correct that.

I would love to hear how you are all doing.

    Lol

  • Hi Ruby

Glad new job is going well but remember your work life balance lol!
SH well done on interview progress, keeping everything crossed for you
Hi Cas - I'm going to grow some veg this year too I think
IC - hope the 2 jobs are going well - your treat sounded lovely , am v jealous!

My OH has gone to France with pals to see the rugby so am having to do all school/meal/clubs etc stuff. He has saved for two years for this so not costing extra ( well, better wait and see on the spends ) but makes me appreciate having a partner - single parenthood is definitely tough.

Work is bleuughhhh with bright spots occasionally. Potential reorganisation looms which will mean change but I can't see it improving much

Money rumbles on - there always seems to be something cropping up just when I think I've got it all nailed down.

Any way, I feel brighter that spring is slowly creeping in and that means longer and warmer days which makes me feel better.

Must go and carry on being a domestic goddess

crikey the competition is stiff ,as Ruby says what happened to one interview, it seems to be the thing to make everyone jump through hoops, sounds like you have done really well, keep it up and good luck for subsequent hoop jumping

Hi all - 3rd stage Thursday!!! and a poss 4th after that they told me today - unbelieveable - but good money and job should come with a car or car allowance... woohoo - drive a Y reg currently!!!

On the test I think I did okay - hard to tell. I was up against 15 others!!! The test was 75 minutes long!!! It was worse than my exams that I have done as there was nothing obvious you could revise if you know what I mean...

Making some progress on debt repayment but being cautious and keeping a bit more floating in my bank account in case I don't have a new job by April!

SH good luck with the numerous tests / interviews, if you get the job you will need a month off to recover :rotfl:
YB you're right it does seem like overkill on SH's interview doesnt it. hope you are ok
IC where are you? hope you are ok hon
Ruby how is the new job going have you settled in?

having some trouble at work, a newish manager seems intent on causing rifts between people. now I have had a letter calling me in for an official meeting regarding disharmony within the team. whatever next! doesnt she realise any group of people working closely together are going to have occasional fallouts, it happens in all walks of life, I dont even know what this is related to. maybe someone has complained about me. anyway I wont find out till the 18th when my call up is.

anyway off to costco later to have a mooch around
hope you are all ok xx
  • Oh Cas - that sounds awful. Hope you're not too anxious - a letter sounds a bit OTT, couldn't they just have an informal chat?
Hi to all , SH still sending you lots of luck
