Hi all - Because I've now managed to pay off my cards that were not interest free :j - and my current 0% only run out around April onwards next year I've decided to set up a savings account to run alongside my bank account so I can stooze! :money: It will also mean that if the worst happens to 1 or both of our jobs we have a little more room for manouvere than if we just paid it off the cards and then couldn't pay the mortgage or minimum payments one month. That way we should also be able to see our nest egg going up nicely - get some interest paid TO us for a change
and then use that to hopefully pay off at least 1 card in full when the 0% runs out...:D

Hi everyone,
Just a sneaky update because I should be working.
SH - they look lovely, I thought you were planning on stopping spending on crafty things!! tee hee (meant in jest of course).
SC - how did the sleepover go?
YB - how are you hun, have you ventured into xmas spending yet?
TONY - HI!!!! - sorry I have neglected the support thread, good to hear from you.
1step & irishchick - how's it going with you both?
All is well here, DS is doing fine and happily going off to school, so I think that worry can be shelfed for the time being. School have been fantastic and said bully has been very, very apologetic and quite shocked about the whole experience by all accounts!!** (mmmm.... won't type how I feel about that).;)
Work is manic and my xmas shopping is well under way, in fact I really do only have a handful of things to get then I am done. (not to be read in a smug... aren't I organised tone - more a 'can that be true, I am surprising myself' tone).
Anyway, hope to hear from YB & SC soon.
Best wishes to you all.

Ruby - you're right I was planning to stop spending not quite made that tho! Good to hear you are still okay. Hope everyone else okay too/
Feeling unsettled in my job again today. Also got a massive dental bill coming. Luckily they can't fit me in for stage 1 for a month £42 and stage 2 is potentially £680 for a "lava bridge"! Woe is me! Probably can't fit that in until 2009 anyway....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Ruby and everyone
Hi Tony how are you ? I havent been on the support thread for ages, must try harder lol. I have been a regular on Ruby's fab diary though. I have become all artisitic since meeting SH. making baskets and the like.
Ruby, the sleepover went really well she and her friends said they had a great time. although the living room carpet looked a bit worse for wear in the morning ( i suspect they had a popcorn throwing competition) but i saved a fortune on not providing a party at a venue or them going to the pictures.
having a troublesome time at work and really feel quite upset, I know I wont sleep tonight because i am constantly going over things in my head.
I am going to talk to one of the bosses tomorrow (really nervous about that ) but it has to be done for my peace of mind.
edited to say just read your post SH what on earth is a lava bridge sounds terrible!
hope everyone is ok
(((hugs))) to all x0 -

A lava bridge is when they take your tooth out, crown the tooth next door and cement a fake tooth in place... Oops:o this looks like the real thing tho hence the price...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi, it's me, late again!
Had a good day, busy and stressful at work but was good in the end! Tomorrow is looming and will start with a difficult conversation with a colleague but needs to be done.
I have been invited to interview next week but am not sure if I know enough about the new job - the one I have is like the curates egg - good in parts and the bits that are good are fantastic but the other bits are *!!"*!
DFW stuff is happening but half term is coming - argghhhh. Every month seems close to the wire money wise although I am managing to keep 'pots' afloat for bills etc that need paying.
I am taking leave next week and will make all my Christmas cards. Lists are ready and I do believe I may make my Christmas purchases next week!
Anyway, enough about me - what's the news Ruby wise, SH, SC. IC etc - what are you all up to?
Belle

I'm okay - my direct boss is still telling me everything is fine...
I may be meeting up with someone from one of the threads as I'm going to be within 2 miles of them tomorrow - I've just made them a journal in a jar so I hope the visit comes off LOL as otherwise I've potentially wasted over an hour!
I am progressing slowly but my kids are both playing up at the moment. My DS is saying he feels really sick etc (he had a day and half off school last week) but then he insisted on coming shopping with me to Asda and was absolutely fine. I think they both just want more attention than we've been giving them recently. We are both on annual leave next week tho to coincide with half term so hopefully that will cheer them up... and us!:j
I still need to do my son's special statement for application to a faith secondary school. That has to be in by 4pm Friday. I'd best not forget it!:eek:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
