    Hi

I know it's been quite a while since i've posted but i've not really felt up to it. I've been going to the stress management and i feel like its working a bit although im still feeling quite down and quite teary every other day. I got some tablets from the doctor which help me to calm down after about 10 mins of taking them. Im not taking them every day just when i feel like a situation could escalate into something which makes me upset or angry.

My car passed it's MOT and only cost me £53.10. I've renewed my car insurance but even though i had the money in the bank to cover it i was struggling to find the money to keep for the mortgage so i've used the money for the car insurance to pay into my current account so that i can pay everything. My overdraft has increased at the moment but i've enough money to pay everything else which is a weight off my mind.

The balances for the accounts are as follows:

    OVERDRAFTS:

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £698.10 now £800.00

    LOANS:

    MUM £583.00 now £500.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £11045.76 now £10794.72

    CREDIT CARDS:

    DEBENHAMS £660.00 now £595.03
    MBNA £4140.00 now £4120.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 1 £9100.00 now £9010.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 2 £5314.00 now £5260.00
    TESCO £1640.00 now £1615.00

    TOTALS:
    OVERDRAFTS £698.10 now £800.00
    LOANS £11628.76 now £11374.72
    CREDIT CARDS £20854.00 now £20600.03

    TOTAL OUTSTANDING £33180.86 now £32774.75 paid off since 01.01.09 £406.11 :T

It's not as much as i'd like to have paid off but the way im feeling just now it's going in the right direction so am feeling ok about that.

Last year i started saving money every month for the car and house things so at the moment i have the following saved: (totals now updated)

Gas £207.05 now £108.25 (am due a bill this month which im expecting to be quite high!) bill paid £133.80
House Repairs £130.14 now £172.39 (will need to use some of this for the factoring bill due in this month - possibly not enough here to cover this) factoring bill paid £15.49
    House Insurance £40.00 now £60.00
    Road Tax £100.00 now £120.00
    Car Insurance £267.00 now £25.00
(car insurance is due this month my renewal quote is £305.04 but i still have the money to put away for this month yet which would just cover this) used the money saved for car insurance to pay into current account to cover mortgage
MOT & Servicing £210.90 now £50.90 MOT £53.10 passed :j i decided to take the rest of the money out as i had to pay for tyres just before xmas

TV licence savings £30.50 now £40.50

I also have the following saved at work:

Works bank a/c 1 £3.83 now £28.83 (i get £25 taken off my wages paid into this every month - this is for xmas presents and food)
    Works bank a/c 2 £0.08

I got some money for my birthday and i cannot face spending it i don't really need anything (well i do) but nothing i can justify myself spending it on!!!

Im going to go and get some rest now

    Hi

I haven't updated for a while... i really wanted to be updating this more than i do but i've not really been on the computer much lately. When i get home from work i've just been switching the computer on and reading my emails and then switching the computer off.

I have paid all my direct debits to date and the money is in the bank for all known direct debits until next pay day (12.3.09) and all the bills / credit card statements have been paid as they have come in or are showing online.

Still to be paid/accounted for this month:

    Debts

Debenhams credit card (amount unknown) statement due 20th
Current account interest (amount unknown) statement due 18th

    Savings

    Gas £35.00
    House Repairs £50.00
    Road Tax £20.00

Money to be put back into my xmas / birthday money £10.00

I have £200.00 to get before the end of the month from my partner so that will cover the Savings and money owed back to xmas money and leave £85.00 which i will need to use to get food and petrol.

I have two weeks wages from my 2nd job to get before the end of the month so that will cover the money owed to Debenhams and the current account interest.

Its not going to be too bad and i know that i will have the money to cover everything. The only thing that's really annoying me is that i should have £119 extra this month as there is no council tax due this month and i really wanted to pay that money to my Debenhams card but i just don't have it spare. I know why i've not got it and its cause i've not done much on ebay at all this month i've just not got the motivation at the moment. I really need to get back into ebay cause if i don't im really going to struggle when it gets to April when i have to start paying council tax again.

I have spent a wee bit of money this month. The washing machine decided to break down last week and i honestly thought i would need a new one as it's over 10 years old now. I contacted the man that fixed it last time and he managed to fix it for £48.00 so that was a bit of a relief but still £48.00 i could have used to pay towards my debt.

The other thing was something that i really didn't need but have wanted for a long time. It was a new tv. The tv was being sold by one of my friends at work. Its a 36" toshiba tv with stand and it was only £50.00. I don't feel so bad as i know if i'd wanted a brand new tv it would have cost me hundreds but at £50.00 i feel like i got such a good bargain and it looks great in the living room i don't really feel that guilty.

Im off work today and know i really should be doing something but at the moment all i want to do is have some breakfast and watch some tv. I hope i'll get some energy from somewhere soon!!!

Well its my night off from my 2nd job and i've managed to accomplish nothing again!!! so many big plans but in the end i just decided to go for a bath and read my book!!!

Not really much to update apart from my mum saying that i don't need to pay her back the money i borrowed (£500) now i know she can't afford to just give me that money but she says she's been helping out my sister and she's just given us the same. She's not prepared to argue on the subject so im not going to force the issue although once i am debt free in a long time i am going to repay this money to her... maybe not cash as she wont accept it but will buy her something she needs.

I think im still going to struggle to pay any extra this month which isn't that great but im not working on Sunday (at least i hope not) so am going to start to write a list of all the things i need to do and things i want to do and spend some time on sunday doing something from each list

Hiya buddiebabe. How lovely of your mum to let you off paying back the £500. And you do need to relax sometimes, so don't feel guilty about the occasional evening spent reading a book.

Well i've still not mangaged to put anything on ebay but am going to spend at least an hour 2moro doing that as im off. If i can list for an hour for the next 5 days i hope i can get some junk out of the house and also get some extra cash as this month has been quite a struggle and there is still a week to go!!

I have made the last payment i need to this month... the Debenhams card has been paid more than the minimum payment. I don't know if i'll be able to pay anything extra this week to my debts but if i can start next month with a few pounds coming in from ebay i'll be a bit happier.

I've still got the following to put into the savings accounts before the end of the month:
    Gas £35.00
    Road Tax £20.00
Which i can do as i get £100 from my partner on Thursday so can use that for this and that will leave me £45.00 but i still need to get food and im off work from my main job on Monday and my second job all week so i know that when im at home i wont be spending any money but i've a night out next friday night... i've already paid for the food so it's just the transport costs and money for some drinks i need to find... think its time to dip into my xmas and birthday money... oh well will just wait and see.

I still have a weeks wage to get from my 2nd job but will also need to get petrol from that so it won't leave too much and with all the direct debits accounted for in the bank account im £40 over my overdraft limit but my 2nd job wages go in before everything comes out so things are going to be a bit tough this week. I've £30.00 left in my purse to buy some shopping and petrol so will see how i go with that.

The plus point about being off from my 2nd job is it will give me some time to do some ebay and also spend some time catching up on housework and i'll have time to make lunches for work instead of having to run about and buy stuff during my lunch break.

Better go get ready for last day in 2nd job for a week :j

    Hey

Well as its nearly the end of the month and i know i won't be able to pay anything extra towards my debts this month i have decided to update my accounts today so here goes....

    OVERDRAFTS:

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £698.10 now £800.00 no change

    LOANS:

MUM £583.00 now £500.00 (mum has said this does not need to be repaid)
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £11045.76 now £10543.68

    CREDIT CARDS:

    DEBENHAMS £660.00 now £493.69

    MBNA £4140.00 now £4100.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 1 £9100.00 now £8925.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 2 £5314.00 now £5212.51
    TESCO £1640.00 now £1590.00

    TOTALS:
    OVERDRAFTS £698.10 now £800.00
LOANS £11628.76 now £10543.68 (£500 mum has said this does not need to be paid back)
    CREDIT CARDS £20854.00 now £20321.20

TOTAL OUTSTANDING £33180.86 now £31664.88 paid off since 01.01.09 £1515.98 (only really paid off £1015.98) but no longer owe the other £500 so :j

I would really have liked to pay off more this month and get the Debenhams card down even further but its just not been possible. Am hoping March will be a better month.

I don't have any council tax to pay in March which means £119.00 that i don't need to find.... i think that's where i fell down this month i didn't have to find it so didn't really try!!!

I have listed some things on ebay so far nothing is selling but i feel a bit better knowing that i have actually done something!

I worked some overtime last month which is due in March's wage so am expecting about £100 extra in my wages.

I've decided that i really need to stop getting stressed or worried about things especially money. If i can continue to make my minimum monthly payments the debts will come down and i shouldn't worry about anything else as long as everything is paid even if it is just the bare minimum.

I've been saving my loose change for the last few weeks and on a Thursday i get it all together to put in the bank on a Friday and it gets paid towards my Debenhams card even if its only a few pounds it all adds up.

In March my mortgage goes down again so i'll continue to put enough money in the bank to cover the original figure of £451.02 and the difference between what i've put in the bank and what actually comes off will be paid to the Debenhams card also. If there are any other bills or set amounts that change for the better i will put the difference to the Debenhams card also.

I hope by not worrying about money to much things will start to get better and i'll be able to cope more without the added pressure of focusing every waking minute about money and the state of the house!!!!

    Life is too short

Well it's the start of a new month :j hopefully this will be a good month for us all.

I've started this morning by sorting out all my bank accounts and tidying up my paperwork. I had a pile of things i had to sort out and just some stuff i wanted to get done so far i have done the following:

    1. Written letter of complaint to KP
    2. Written letter of complaint to 3 mobile
    3. Emailed to cancel Cosmo subscription once tesco clubcard deal ends
    4. Transferred £2.50 in tesco clubcard vouchers to Airmiles so that i can use the remaining miles i have saved up. I have 603 miles and its only 600 for a case of 6 bottles of wine that i could use for presents.
    5. Emailed Empire catalogue to get my account with them closed
    6. Emailed Argos for them to close my argos card account
    7. Shredded lots of unnecessary paperwork i've kept a hold of

I've been putting these things off for weeks but they were so much easier to do than i expected!!! Im going to go see what else i can get done before 3 and then i can sit down and give myself 15 mins looking through the posts on MSE
