  • Buddiebabe - I am trying to do as many PADS on my Egg card as possible - I love your idea of rounding down and getting rid of the penneis - will try and do the same.

    Enjoy your dinner tonight.

  • Hey

Well done on rounding down and making your PAD yesterday.

Dinner last nite was nice and it was good to catch up with people from work as i had been off all week. Only prob was OH wasn't feeling that great so we ended up leaving early.

Then today i woke up and wasn't feeling great. Decided to go into town for a bit just to get out the house but then came home in tears cause i realised that it's my first full weekend off in ages and i had nothing to do or anyone to do it with.

I was supposed to be going out with my sister for her birthday tonight but i just couldn't face it and have spent the day by myself feeling sorry for myself and in tears for most of the day and am sitting here crying just now as im writing.

I just feel rubbish. My OH was away out today with friends and is on his way home now and drunk which means that we won't be able to do anything on our last day of our holiday cause he'll be ill.

Today has made me realise how much i rely on work to keep me going. I don't have any friends from outside work and no one i could phone today to see if they wanted to do anything. Sometimes i just hate my life.

I tried to organise a hotel today to stay in for the wedding but am still waiting on a phone call back so its not been a very productive day. The house is still a disgrace but i just couldn't bring myself to do much today i hate feeling like this and as sad as it sounds i can't wait to go back to work just to feel normal again.

I did manage to list some things on ebay today but i couldn't even get the energy to do much of that.

    Here's hoping 2moro is a better day

  • Buddibabe - another honest post from me.

Would it be worth seeing your dr?

It can be hard work trying to make friends and then keeping the friendship going. is there anyone in your block of flats or street that you see? Maybe you could start by inviting them to your place for a coffee or going for a coffee in a cafe nearby?

Do you have an interest where you could go somewhere to meet like minded people?

I know its difficult and its all about making the effort and when you feel down its so difficult to motivate yourself.

Try and concentrate on the good things in your life of which I am sure there are many - you have a lovely fiance and are going to be married.

Places where I have made friends in the past include swimming pool - just going and speaking with people, night classes and weight loss and exercise classes.

I think it is harder to make friends nowadays because we have the internet and texting - and that's just a big excuse not to actually speak to people face to face when you think about it.

I hope that you are feeling more positive today.

    Love and hugs xxx

    CREDIT CARDS £20769.92 now £20984.00

TOTAL OUTSTANDING SEPTEMBER £26794.88 now £26757.92

Total paid off last month was £36.96
Total paid off since 1st January 2010 is £2125.36 :j

Ok well its not the best of amounts to be paid off but its not the worst either! Im still going to really struggle to pay anything off if im honest in the run up to the wedding but even if i pay off something every month i will be quite happy.... (ok am trying to convince myself of this....)

As long as the debt is coming down that is the main thing. I need to try and not let the debt bring me down 2.

I really need to work out a budget that i can stick to. Which based on everything i need to pay out its not going to be as good as it should be as i never have enough to cover everything.

I tend to buy things on impulse most of the time, even when we are food shopping. I spent £47.63 the other night in morrisons on mostly junk food and expensive things we just don't need.... I really need to try and cut back on the food and drink spending.

My cupboards and freezer are full of food that can be used so am going to try and not buy any more food this week.... especially not sweets or crisps. I need to get back into the money saving mentality... not easy i know but i have to do something.

My hours have been cut at my 2nd job 2 now it happens from time to time but usually in the run up to xmas the hours go up but not this year... the company has overspent on the wages budget for a good 6 months and now they have to try and reclaim some of it back.... if i go back to my basic contract i'll only be working 12 hours which on one hand will be good for giving me some time.... it will not be so good on the bank balance.

Im going to try only using cash this week and recording everything i have spent either on here or at least down on paper to see just what i spend my money on and where it goes!

So far this month i have spent the following:

    1st October

£20.00 on night out and birthday present for party - good night had so much fun
£4.30 in Asda (lunch, juice, chocolate, crisps and newspaper) - didn't really need to buy any of this if i had taken the time to take things from the house
£38.00 for 2 tops for night out - needed one top - will take other back 2moro which will put £15.00 back into bank
£0.60 on cake from trolley at work - was lovely but soooo bad for diet
£1.00 scrambled egg roll - wasn't very nice or good for diet

Total spend for 1st October £63.90

    2nd October

£1.17 in Superdrug - crisps & chocolate - not essential or good for diet
£47.63 in Morrisons - weekly food shopping - alot of non essential items like matchmakers sweets 3 boxes which have all been eaten
£2.19 in Tesco's - 2 bottles orange juice and bottle of water - to deal with hangover from night before
    £2.00 on lottery tickets

Total spend for 2nd October £52.99

    3rd October

£5.88 in Superdrug - Toilet rolls, kitchen towel & 2 rolls wrapping paper - all required
£2.22 in Tesco - bread, carrot batons and ready meal - all required

Total spend for 3rd October £8.10

OMG in 3 days i have managed to spend £124.99  out of that i would say that £95.00 of that was needed so i could have saved myself £30.00

I am really going to need to reign in my spending. The only good part is that none of that was on a credit card and i had money for it all.

Im going to head to bed now as it's been a long day. I'll try and pop back in 2moro... would be good if it was a NSD but i need to fill the car up with petrol so here's hoping that's all i spend 2moro.

    Hey

Well so much for only spending money on petrol today :o

    4th October

£5.00 into lift for flowers for woman in the office who's mum died suddenly and unexpectedly this morning
£2.00 for syndicate ticket for euro millions on friday
£3.15 on 5 cards, 1 sympathy card, 3 birthday cards and a 1st anniversary card
£1.78 in superdrug on Juice.... the water machine at work ran out of water so bought water and 2 bottles of diet irn bru
    £28.87 on petrol

Total spend for 4th October £40.80

I knew i would have to buy petrol but the other things are just like the day to day unexpected things that crop up.

Its been a better day than i thought. Today i have done the following:

    - Had a night off from my 2nd job so have done a washing
    - Had a nice dinner (chicken that was cooked in the slow cooker) and there is enough left over for sandwiches for work 2moro and also to make something for my dinner 2moro night and maybe even sandwiches for Wednesday 2 if my OH doesn't eat it 2moro.
    - Returned top to New Look and got £15.00 refund
    - Filled out my tax return
    - Sorted out a box of paperwork
    - won a competition for 2 free tickets to the SECC wedding show this Sunday
    - received my order from vista print (save the date postcards, magnets, pens, christmas cards, business cards, cotton bag and 3 t-shirts) which have only cost me about £10 which has also tracked in quidco so could work out costing me next to nothing

I feel like i've had quite a productive night. Im going to check all my accounts and then make my sandwiches for work 2moro and see if i can also make a payment to one of my cards.

I have 23 items selling on ebay at the moment for a grand total of £116.69 which is great and there is still another 15hrs to a day left on some of them so here's hoping the bids keep on coming ;)

Will update again if i manage to make any payments

Well i checked my accounts and i had £34.80 available to play with so i couldn't decide who to pay what to so i paid every card 80p and then paid Santander £30.00.

I actually enjoy paying silly amounts to my credit cards as it feels like its my way of getting back at them my just giving them pennies! I know its stupid but if it makes me feel better then im gonna do it.

I forgot that i also sent away the paperwork for my insurance claim for the damage to the livingroom so they said it can take up to 7 - 14 days after they receive it to contact me so will wait and see what they say. I don't have any excess so anything they give me to repair the damage will be a bonus.... then will just need to go about getting it all fixed.... Oh Joy :o

My friend who is having a baby has asked me to get her a set of baby monitors now i have already been buying up bits and pieces when they have been on offer like baby wipes, dummies etc and am feeling a bit miffed that they are now asking for things when i asked her at the start what she needed and she said anything would be great so i said i'd buy the basic bits and pieces which she was fine with but now her due date is getting closer she wants this. Now she knows about my money situation and i cant believe she has actually asked for this. Im quite angry but also feel like i need to get them or im going to lose a friend.... but on the other hand i feel like if she was a good friend she'd be happy to take the stuff i've got for her and not ask for anything else....

I really don't know what to do..... if im entirely honest im sick fed up of trying to please people but at the end of the day i usually just do it rather than have any bad feeling.

Never mind am going to go to bed and try and get some sleep will hopefully have a minimal spend day 2moro.... only time will tell

Just a quick post to say DON'T BUY THE BABY MONITORS!! That friend is taking the !!!!. Can't you just say,"I'm sorry I can't afford it, I have bought you some bits and pieces to help out but I can't afford a big present." OOh, she has made me cross on your behalf!

    Hey Seaxwyn

You have said exactly what i have been thinking but i don't want to feel like a rubbish friend so if i can get some for about £15 i will get them and the other stuff i will keep for one of the girls at work who is pregnant who might appreciate it more.

I had just sat and typed a huge post about everything and then the computer decided that it would delete it all

Ok so here goes the spends for today:

    5th October

£4.88 Asda - 2 pot noodles 55p each for OH and a bottle of red wine for present for bosses birthday
£2.20 loaned to one of the girls at work
£2.40 Superdrug - mouthwash and wrapping paper

    Total spend 5th October £9.48 (which i should get £3.20 back 2moro)

Good things that have happened today:

    - tickets arrived for wedding show
    - won £2 on GFK surveys which i can get high street vouchers for
    - managed to do everything i wanted to do today / tonight
    - sandwiches made for 2moro
    - dinner made for 2moro
    - spent less that £10
    - sold just over £150 of things on ebay tonight :T

    Not so good things:

    - have hurt my back and legs but no idea how.... might mean zumba is out of the question 2moro but i have my stuff ready just incase.
    - am feeling really tired

Am going to check my bank accounts then its off to bed. Will update if i make any payments

Well i had a nice surprise when i checked my bank account i had a £20 payment from quidco in my account. My Tesco statement was also available to view online so i checked it.

Minimum payment for Tesco was £47.00

    So i paid the following:

Tesco £47.00 minimum payment plus £2.20 extra
    Santander £10.00
RBS M/C 1, RBS M/C 2, Debenhams and MBNA all got 20 pence each :D

Total paid out to debt today £60.00 (of this £13.00) was extra

So far my extra payments this month total £47.80 not sure if i'll be able to make anymore but will see how things go.

    Off to bed now

I agree completely with Seaxwyn about the baby monitors.

Well done for keeping your spending diary - that takes a lot of courage to write everything down.
