Hey
Well so far i have done the following:
- Been to Morrisons and spent £40.00
- Made the 2 lasagnes and i have said to my mum that she can take one .... only problem is they both look quite overdone.... now my boyfriend loves burnt cheese so don't think he'll mind but dont know if i should give the other to my mum will see if she wants it
- All washing is done and either piled up to be ironed or on the drier hoping that it will dry
- soup is on and will be eating a bowl of that in about 10 mins
- have cleared out all my food cupboards, fridge and freezer resulting in quite a few things being flung out... that wont be happening again!
- started cleaning the kitchen its going to take a while.
Will update again later once i've managed to do some more stuff. It's totally miserable weather here so i dont feel like im missing out by being inside.

Buddiebabe - are you a vegetarian? I ask because of ideas for the slow cooker - I use mine quite a bit in the winter. I always stick potatoes in there, you have to cut them quite small though and put them at the bottom, then any other old veggies I have lying around, then I put in meat either: mince, sausages, chicken etc and top with either one of the cook-in sauces or just plain old tins of chopped tomatoes and bung some herbs on top. The only problem I find with the slow cooker is that the food can be a bit wishy-washy, but hey its always hot and nourishing and great that its ready as soon as you walk through the door. I also serve mine with bread so the gravy can be soaked up with that. I think you can do pasta but you put it in for the last half hour (not really sure). There is a thread over on the old style forums called "what's in my slow cooker today" sorry not sure how to post links so you could take a look at that for some ideas.
tonight we are having sausages (and I've chopped them up as I think it makes it go further); baked beans and chopped toms in a casserole. I'm doing it in the oven but could have used slow cooker. We're having that with baked potatoes. Any sauce left over I will re-use somehow!
Sorry to hear about your weight gain - I've put all my weight back on too (I start again tomorrow).Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hey MrsP im not a vegetarian. I usually have chicken or pork or mince sometimes if its cheap enough i'll have roast beef (brisket) or silverside if its on offer (which doesn't happen that often)
Well i've managed to do some more stuff
- bread is in the breadmaker
- attempted to make chocolate crispies but went to try them and the cornflakes were rock hard and inedible  probably just as well as my diet is going to start 2moro
Tonight for dinner we are having steak pie, yorkshire puddings, savoury rice and boiled potatoes with a garlic and herb coating. We're only having the yorkshire puddings and the potatoes to use them up out of the freezer which i cleared out today!
I've looked at the slow cooker thread but my bf is very funny about what he eats so am going to try out a few combinations when i know its just me that will eat them and if they are ok can use it for lunch the following day.
I bought some chicken today and thought about putting that in the slow cooker with a tin of batchelors low fat condensed soup some carrots and some potatoes.... any thoughts about that??? Have you tried anything like that??
[STRIKE]1. Go to Morrisons and get some shopping... including healthy options[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]2. Batch cook 2 trays of lasagne as i have 4 jars of sauce that i need to use before the 08.09.09 so i figure they will be ok if i make them and freeze them.... my boyfriend loves lasagne so they will probably all be gone before the 8th!![/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]3. Make soup[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]4. Make homemade bread[/STRIKE] done well its in the breadmaker now
[STRIKE]5. Clean the bathroom[/STRIKE] done
6. Put a box full of stuff that i have photographed last week on ebay still to do
7. Iron 20 items still to do still to do
8. Make some homemade hobnobs still to do but am not going to do today may try and make them on my next night off

What a lot of big changes happening. I'm glad to hear your mum feels good about the decision to sell up. That should take a lot of pressure off them and allow them to do what they want in life rather than worrying about money all the time.
I sympathise with your feelings about the loss of the house, though. My parents moved house this year too. It was partly for money reasons, and partly as my dad is getting frail and the old house and garden was too much for him - now they're in a small bungalow. We all felt terrible about losing the home we all grew up in, but now they are settled my parents seem much happier. Sometimes the thought of the change is worse than the change itself.
I think you are very sensible to consider the trust deed option. It may not turn out to be right for you, but it's a good idea to go to the meeting and ask all the questions so you can make an informed decision.
Like you I need to do a lot of ironing and ebay listing, so I will think of you tonight as I do those tedious tasks!
Best of luck with it all.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Buddiebabe - go for it with the chicken, soup and veggies. I have used that before in the slow cooker and its fine. That's a good idea about using the leftovers up for lunch.
Let me know how you get on.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hey MrsP i have got everything all chopped up and ready for putting in the slow cooker when i get up at 7.00  i managed to get all that chopped up ready for 2moro when i came home from 2nd job 2night and i have also got another loaf of bread currently baking in the bread maker. I've got a washing in the machine and a hand washing in the bath!
Im shattered and i cant wait to get to bed and fall asleep!
Seaxwyn i didn't do any ironing or list anything on ebay last night and haven't put anything on today either.... been too busy tonight sorting out dinner and stuff for slow cooker for 2moro.
I really need to get listing new stuff again as the stuff i put on over a week ago is currently got bids of £48 :j and it's stuff i've had in the house for ages not being used!
Am going to go to bed now and try and get some sleep. Will let you know how the chicken turns out 2moro night

At least i don't feel so bad now
I came home from work early tonight so i could check my emails and relax for a while before i start work again at 6
Well i got up early and put on my slow cooker. I put a chopped up chicken breast in, carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper and a tin of batchelors chicken soup and a tin of water 2. When i came in the door tonight it smelt lovely but when i opened the slow cooker it looked dried up and not very appetisting so i mixed it up and put some in a bowl. It tasted ok but nothing special! I think if i was going to make it again i'd probably put in two tins of soup so that there was some sauce for the chicken.
So i've had something to eat before work 2nite which is always good it means im not going to be starving when i come home and when i get home i can have more of the casserole.
I've taken 2moro off work as i just feel like i need a wee break so im going to get some clearing out done once my boyfriend goes to work at 3pm
Going to check bank accounts before i go to work will catch up again later

Need to update my signature.... i am still under £30,000 which is ok but its still not good!
Better get to work now

Oh Buddiebabe - I'm so sorry your chicken dinner didn't work out too well. My slow cookers dinners are always very waterey (I guess its trial and error)!
Bad luck about the £30 but at least you are still under the £30K.Debt free and Keeping on Track0
