Well managed to pay £16.75 off of what i owe mum which is good... i'd forgotten i'd transferred money into my account from paypal so i have used some of it for that!

I have also totalled up my savings again and forgot that last time i put in a cheque it had an extra 19p on it which can go towards repaying money borrowed from the house account. Which is under my loans total. So i only need to repay £299.81  well its a start!

Just entered all my details into the snowball calculator and my debt free date is going to be December 2015

That's ages away :o i have no idea what i thought it was going to be but i honestly didn't think it was going to be that long :o

Its 76 months away.... in December 2015 i will be 37  aaarrrggghhhh!!!!

Now i know its not that old but i can see it far enought.... sometimes i think i take pleasure in depressing myself.... am going to need to take some drastic measures.... i want it gone alot sooner than that... will need to come up with a realistic plan of action but first better go to work :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Buddibabe - I wish I could be 37 (again) in 2015:D

Well done on putting all that into the snowball - I am afraid to do that.:D Maybe once I have paid off the CCs (hopefully beginning of November if it all goes through smoothly) then I will do it!

  • Don't know if im going to make it until im 37!!! Totally tired, seriously stressed and just completely fed up at the moment :o

I have made a payment to MBNA today of £1.70 and i paid them £5 yesterday for the payment a day thread. I also paid my boyfriend back £5 off what i owe him.

I have been very bad over the last few days i've been feeling so down and so tired that i have been gambling again.... i really need to get a grip! Im so stupid doing it but for a little while it made me feel better.... the only plus point is that i haven't been spending a fortune like i used to and im not bothered if i don't have a shot i was just doing it for something to do.

It's done now and it's not added to my debt much (i hope :o) will need to sort out some numbers at some point but i don't think i've done too much damage.

Anyway enough about that!!! Im off work 2moro and im going shopping  yes i know but im off to a wedding in october and i have the dress i bought off of ebay but need shoes, bag, some kind of cardi or jacket or shawl and a fascinator.... i am going to have a good look in the shops and as long as its something reasonably priced and that i will use again im going to get it. Im hoping that i get everything i need 2moro and then once its all bought i can check out ebay to see if they have any of the things i buy and if they do i will bid on them and if im lucky enough to win them i'll take the ones from the shop back.... sounds naughty but every penny counts!!!

Oh i also paid £4.10 into the house account today so that's something off of that total 2 :j

I have started following the weight watchers diet.... using books i got in the charity shop, a calculator my sister gave me years ago and help from some girls at work that go to the meetings. I only started following the points on Tuesday so am hoping i get somewhere with that.

I would love to get to under 11st in time for the wedding in October. Im currently 11st 8lbs  and since tuesday i have managed to stick to my points and save a few 2!!!

Hope your not too disappointed with me :o

  • Buddiebabe - well on on admitting to the gambling and well done on knowing when to stop.

Enjoy your shopping and please do not feel guilty about spending money on accessories. As you say if you will wear them again then its not a waste.

Let me know what you get!

Well done on starting WW on your own (which is what I am trying to do). You only have 8 lbs to lose to get to 11 - at 2 lbs a week you could be there in 4 weeks or less.

    Take care.

Of course we're not disappointed! Well perhaps a tiny bit about the gambling - you know what a slippery slope that is and how much trouble it's caused you in the past. Is there a way you could satisfy the gambling urge without risking real money? Hve you ever tried matched betting?

I agree with Mrs Porridge - 2015 is not so far and I wish I could be 37 again! I haven't got a debt-free date either, I did try the snowbal but my date kept getting further away. Dont focus too much on the length of time. Who knows what could happen in six years. The key thing is to enjoy life as much as possible and it's a shame that you are feeling so stressed and tired, I wish I could think of something helpful to say.

Thanks for the messages, however, i have let you both down. I'll start with the bad first

    The bad:

    1. I have been gambling again in the space of the last week i have spent £625.00  and £420 of that was last night
    2. I don't really want to carry on anymore.... things are really getting me down i no longer no what to do
    3. Didn't get a bag for the wedding
    4. Money i made from ebay has been wasted due to the gambling
    5. My debt has gone up

Well that's the only bad things... so for some good stuff:

    1. I lost 3lbs this week
    2. I got a cardi to wear over my dress for the wedding
    3. I got a pair of shoes for the wedding
    4. I am currently the highest bidder on a fascinator on ebay so the outfit is almost sorted
    5. I made over £140 on ebay this week.... only thing is that has all been spent due to the gambling

Am just going to total everything up to see what the damage is now:

    OVERDRAFTS:

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £800.00 no change

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £9288.48 now £9037.44 now £8786.40
    BOYFRIEND £270.00 now £250.00 now £235.00 now £230
    MUM £61.75 now £51.25 now £56.75 now £40
    HOUSE SAVINGS £300.00 no change
    now £295.71

    CREDIT CARDS:

DEBENHAMS £2300.00 now £2215.00 no change now £2133
    MBNA £4050.00 now £4035.00 now £4027.63 now £4012.93
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 1 £8380.00 now £8245.00 now £8114.45

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MC 2 £4910.00 now £4830.00 now £4762.00 now £4754.23
TESCO £260.00 now £179.68 now £530.27    now £1186.42

    TOTALS:
    OVERDRAFTS £800.00 no change
    LOANS £9620.23 now £9638.69 now £9378.15 now £9352.11
    CREDIT CARDS £20196.63 now £19474.68 now £19649.35 now £20201.03

TOTAL OUTSTANDING SEPTEMBER £29943.37 now £29827.50
    now £30353.14

So overall this month i have increased my debt by £409.77 :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I have no one to blame for this but myself and i feel really really stupid and sick. I need to turn this around now.

Which is the main reason im up at 1am as i cannot get to sleep as everything is going around and around in my head..... i no longer have the urge to gamble i just want to go to sleep and not wake up.... now that wont happen i wont let that happen but everything seems so bad right now. Im going to attempt to do some tidying up so that when i do get up in the morning im not faced with a house that looks like a bombsite.

  • Buddiebabe - I don;t know what to say. At least you have admitted it and written it all down. The damage could have been so much worse. You must do as you say and put it all behind you and start afresh.

Good news about your weight loss and getting your outfit sorted for the wedding.

    Please take care xxxx

Thanks MrsP its been a horrible day. I ended up in bed around 2am but once i fell asleep i didn't wake up again until 11am so it was a nice long lie. I had intended to do stuff around the house today but was feeling really down and fed up so we went out. We ended up going shopping and i decided that i was going to just spend all my money on things i wanted so that i wouldn't have access to any money for me to make the same mistake again!!!! Only problem was i went out with my MSE head on!!!!!

How come i can easily spend £600+ frittering away money on gambling but when it comes to a £20 pair of shoes i cant part with the money :confused:

Anyway all i ended up getting was a £5.00 bag which will match my shoes and dress for the wedding, a silicone bra thing £6.99 that sticks on so i don't need to worry about straps showing and then £20.39 in tesco .... (£12 of that was on a cardigan that i need for work) then £39.53 in morrisons for a trolley full of low fat, weight watchers like food.... it was quite an expensive day but not the kind of expense that is bad for me.... all the stuff is needed so its ok.

It has meant that i have added to the Tesco credit card again so the balance on that is now £1268.07

Im trying to think up ideas that wont cost me any money to try and clear these debts asap....

My house insurance is due for renewal and i got my quote in yesterday... only just got around to reading it.... its £216.30 which i think is quite reasonable and i have £220.00 saved for it so its within budget..... obviously i am going to try and go through quidco to see if i can get it cheaper there first. Will let you know how i get on.

Going to check all accounts to see if balances are the same then am going to update the snowball calculator

Will post when i have updated these

Hiya buddiebabe. Sorry to hear you felt so low. But good news about the weight loss and the wedding outfit coming together. Who is getting married and when is the wedding? I hope you enjoy yourself.
