Seaxwyn, would you consider a car boot with the stuff from your parent's loft? Its amazing what people will buy.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

I have done quite a few carboot sales (never made £80 though). I am definitely keeping it in mind, but the stuff that has come my way so far has really not been that saleable - apart from a load of books, which I've put on Amazon, and sold some. Would you believe, I sold a Morris Dance Colouring Book today??!! Otherwise it's real rubbish though.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hey
Am still in pain with my sore throat but i managed to get an appointment for the docs and i got some anti-biotics so will see how i get on with them. Just hope i'll be feeling better soon.
I managed to sell 13 books today to someone in Switzerland. It meant having to go in and add buy it now prices to each of the books which cost me 5p each but there was no one else looking at the books and i've had them for years so i was quite happy to accept £1.25 for each book so made approx £1.00 per book but will need to see how well i've estimated the postage.... have a really horrible feeling that i've underestimated and it's gonna end up costing me moneywill have to wait until the morning to find out keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
I haven't listed anything tonight but there is still over an hour and a half to go.

Just a quick update before i go to bed. I've listed 5 new items on ebay tonight. I had some money in my paypal account so i've transferred £65.40 into my bank account tonight... i have a funny feeling i will need to pay most of this out to my mum who has been paying the postage for me but i am hoping there is maybe a few pounds spare i can put towards paying the direct debits!
I was asked to go into work early tonight so i worked for an extra half hour and i'll also get £6 for running the shop so that will be an added bonus.
I've not really been keeping as up to date with my accounts as i would like and i've still not checked online to see what my Debenhams minimum payment is.
Things to do 2moro:
1. Find out how much Debenhams minimum payment is
2. Check all accounts to make sure i haven't missed anything
3. List 10 things on ebay
4. Make sandwiches for work on Wednesday
5. Sort out keep fit clothes for bums and tums class on Wednesday
6. Find out how much money i owe to mum for ebay postage
Off to bed now

Buddiebabe - are you selling your books on Ebay? I have quite a few left over from the boot fair and thought I might try Ebay. I have never sold anything on Amazon and I'm not very good at trying new things!Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Hi MrsPorridge I sell everything i dont need or want on ebay. Books are really easy to list they don't tend to sell for much and the ones i did sell i've had for a year or two. The only thing with selling books on ebay is that they have capped the postage. The maximum you can charge for postage is £2.75 unless you list them as heavy or bulky.
I left work early tonight so i could come home and sort out some stuff.
I received a letter from 3 tonight it was addressed to Mr instead of Miss but it does stated that my account is clear and closed so i am happy with that.
I have checked all my online accounts and everything seems in order. Last night i said i wanted to get the following done today
1. Find out how much Debenhams minimum payment is - done and paid
2. Check all accounts to make sure i haven't missed anything - done
3. List 10 things on ebay
4. Make sandwiches for work on Wednesday
5. Sort out keep fit clothes for bums and tums class on Wednesday - have looked them out but they need ironed
6. Find out how much money i owe to mum for ebay postage
So that's not too bad it means i have got some stuff done before i go to work tonight and that means there's not much left to do tonight :T

Well i've made my sandwiches for work in the morning, got my clothes looked out, ironed my stuff for keep fit and then scrunched it up so it would fit in my bag :rotfl: :rotfl: sometimes i really worry myself!!!
I phoned my mum earlier and i owe her just under £40 for postage. I should be able to give her that back on Friday so im not too worried about that. I think i will manage to have enough to cover everything. I still have £50 in paypal but don't want to take it out yet until i know everyone has their stuff or at least the people that have bought things that cost more than 99p.
The only thing left to do is to put 10 things on to ebay.... wish me luck with that

I've listed 6 items can't do anymore as im just getting tired now. I want to try and get a good nights sleep instead of me staying on here until 1 in the morning
I want to try and write down a plan for April that will help me work out where i am going to get the money to pay all the direct debits, bills and credit cards. Im not sure how i want to go about doing this. Can't really decide whether to list every item here based on dates and then work on it that way or try and come up with some other way to do it.
I think i'll leave that until Thursday night when im off to try and figure it out.... i don't want to do what i do every month and wait until payday as it almost always depresses me and then i don't want to keep going i just want to give up but i know thats not an option!!!
I have a really funny feeling its going to keep me awake trying to come up with some ideas!!!

I've just had a bad experience on Ebay - only 3 in 5 years so not too bad - I sold an item and the buyer has now received it and wants a refund - she says it doesn't live up to my description! Luckily I had not taken the money out of Paypal. I immediately though of you Buddiebabe, saying about the glut of refunds lately. I wonder why?Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Hey MrsPorridge
Fortunately i've not had anything like that it's just that between my post office and the buyers house things keep going missing  I've sold a few items over the last few days that im actually just waiting to hear if they have been received so am trying not to touch the money in the paypal account so i can refund them if required! I would ask for them to send the item back to you and once you receive it back then and only then give them their money back. Why should you be out of pocket when they decide they dont like the item. Does what the buyer say sound right?? Is the description misleading?? It really depends on the value of the item and how much you value your feedback to what you do next.
I went to my keep fit class at lunch but the woman didn't turn up so we got to go to the gym instead it still cost us £2.50 but i really didn't enjoy it. Only did 20 mins on the running machine (well it was a walk) and then 10 mins on the bike.... my legs are sore now but i don't feel like i usually do after my keep fit class so when i got back to work after it i ended up eating loads of chocolate and rubbish!!! Not so good
Am working at 6 but just want to go to sleep
