Buddiebabe's new beginnings....

Hi Buddiebabe - sorry to hear about the dr.
At least you managed to get things listed on Ebay.
My washing machine died on Friday night. DH took it apart in the hopes of mending it, but the drum and spider attachment had all corroded away. He looked on the internet and spare parts cost £190. We ended up shopping around on the internet on Friday night and at the shops Saturday morning. Ended up buying a new machine from Tesco direct - £250 with free delivery (coming tomorrow) and buy now pay later if you used a Tesco credit card (which I have). I will now be able to save up £60 per month and pay it off within 4 months - so can pay before the six months are up.
We are planning to do a boot fair on Sunday as we have loads of junk to clear and I am hoping for at least £70. We did our first boot fair in September and made £84 which I couldn't believe! So fingers crossed.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Thats rubbish about the washing machine but good that you managed to get the new one on 6mths 0%.
Good luck with the boot sale. I've so much stuff that i could sell at a boot sale but it's just not the weather up here to do one and i dont honestly feel that id be up to it.
Am just going to plod away with the free listing on ebay and try and list at least one thing every night.

Hi buddiebabe
Sorry to hear you are still feeling ill. Well done on the ebay listings - 52 is a huge number. Is it free permanently now? I thought it was just a one-off free listing day.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Thanks - great news. I am amassing quite a pile of stuff to sell now as I help my parents clear their house. I will try to sell the more valuable items for them, but the junk I will keep for myself.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Thats good news about getting some stuff you can sell and keep for yourself. I had really high hopes for getting rid of some stuff that i wouldn't have normally bothered to list but im not too hopeful of that stuff selling now although if i don't list it i'll never know and i still have a few days left on the items so will just need to wait and see.
The other plus point is that it wont cost anything to relist the items so thats good.
My sore throat is getting worse again  so much for the doc telling me im getting better!!
Never mind i've now got 279 items listed and 3 items selling for a total £14.49 hopefully there will be more bids soon

Crikey, I hope all 279 don't sell at once, that would be a packing and posting nightmare!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hi Rubyslipper thanks for dropping in
Today has been a bit better than the last few days. Im still not feeling too good. My throat was really sore this morning when i got up and is about the same just now when im going to bed  I actually thought that the doctor may have been right that it was starting to clear up but im in pain now and it wont go away. Im fed up taking paracetamol and ibuprofen i feel like i should be rattling when i walk for the amount i've been taking over the last week.
I didn't get around to listing anything on ebay tonight. I was working in the shop till 9pm. Im supposed to be going round to one of the girls from works houses for a birthday party on Saturday night its her birthday and also one of my friends husbands birthdays today so they are having a party on sat night.... it was just supposed to be a few friends round and now its a party with an abba fancy dress theme!!! No idea what im going to wear to the party or if im going to go but i was trying to think of a pressie to get my friends hubby and he likes football and i have hundreds of old footie programmes that i haven't got round to selling on ebay so i was trying to sort them out tonight and look through and see if i could put some together for him for his birthday. His favourite team didn't play on the day he was born but i think i'll try and get together a programme nearest his birthday for that year and maybe give him a few others. I just thought it would be a different kind of present that he might appreciate.
I have also managed to sort them into some kind of order which will make them easier to list on ebay when i do get round to it!!!
I had received a few emails from buyers the other day saying that their stuff hadn't arrived yet so i was pleased to hear from one of them to say the item arrived today and that they were happy with it. I hate it when i have to refund them and then claim from the post office.
I usually take the money out of paypal the minute its reached £50 but as im getting a few people saying they haven't received their items i dont want to chance having to use my credit card to refund them. The fact that there is no fee to withdraw funds from paypal is great it means i might be able to take out the money i need for postage into one account and pay the difference into another account which means i wont end up owing my mum too much money.
Am going to try and sleep now in the hope i feel better in the morning
