I've just had a very interesting conversation on facebook with one of my friends. She wants me to go into a pyramid scheme thing with her. She says it's legit and has seen people have big pay outs. She has yet to have hers though. Everything in me is screaming SCAM but she's insistent it's not. What does everyone think?
If it's too good to be true... it's too good to be true... Keep clear!0 -
Having a rubbish day here........
Sit down and have a break. If you're having one of those days when nothing goes right, its best to try not to do anything. Don't let it get to you, as it's just one of those things. You're tired, so there is no point in making things worse. :grouphug:0 -
Holly I wouldn't even consider it, I can understand the temptation, but there is always something on tv about how people have been ripped off with them, because of that, I thought they were illegal now?
I've had a useless day flying, I ended up having to go out. I'm going to make tea and then do a couple of hours to catch up.0 -
just had the most enormous hailstones,,frightened the cat

I was broken into on Sat nite, the F***ers stole the kids laptops, my purse, mobile, games, Ipod, Camers, DVDs, amongst other stuff.....DD found them in the kitchen at 05.30 on sunday morning, and she was so brave she quietly walked to my room, opened the door and then shouted mummy there is someone in our kitchen, by the time i got to the bedroom door, the front door slammed and i heard them running away, so police and csi and cid came out and recovered some dvds, and also got some fingerprints on the window, I am insured but it makes no difference to the LO as she cant sleep and the boys keep waking up in the middle of the night thinking they can hear breathing!!
I am so proud of DD the police say if it wasnt for her, they would have stolen the car too as they had taken the keys also:( Such a carp weekend!!
You don't deserve such a foul thing! You, and your family, have had more than enough to cope with.

Not long been back home. Have been to see mum and she was fine. She had her usual two cigs and thats all she really wants. Did her nails for her and that was nice. Her speech is a bit clearer at the moment.
Will do some bits of the list after tea .
Pigpen Positive vibes coming your way for your sister.
Mumoffour77 The thieving !!!!!!!!!!s  Big hugs for you and your family and a special one for your DD. What a brave girl she is. I got burgled a few years ago and it leaves a horrible feeling. It took me ages to get over it. Now when I go to bed I take my purse, keys and mobile phone.
Perfectlypoor Welcome.
chunky What a lovely thing to do for your friend.
hollyh Personally I would steer clear. Plus your friend has not had her payout yet. Trust your gut instinct.
Johanne Big hugs for you. Take it easy and look after yourself.0 -
Hi folks, this is how it looks at the end of the day. Got quite a lot done and some time to make a couple more Chritmas cards too. Finally finished the cupboard inventories- hope they are as useful as the freezer one has been when it comes to meal planning etc.

:hello:
Froddington – that’s a definite! Pegging in pairs. Hope you got on with your planning OK. Have been into school this afternoon – our classroom now looks like a classroom. Time for refreshment methinks!
Thanks for the snickerdoodles recipe Hex and Polka for the inspiration.:j
As I read through your posts mumoffour – you sound so upbeat! I salute you! You are my inspiration!:T What an example to your kids you are.
And Craftyscholar – another one has come over to the dark side!:T
And Nicki – well done on the new duster … did you ever think that one day you’d be sharing with the world when you dust and with what! What glamorous lives we all lead!:A
And Chunky too! We’re all peggin’ mad! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: What about getting your mate some new pegs…and a corkscrew (oh mumofjust2 got in with that one! But I’ll second it) Quality pegs those (Vileda) – mine are Hozelock! Bought when I had a whirlygig thing specially! BTW I have a lovely pegbag which I made myself - and it has french seams and is lined!
And Carol22 – of course – mine are yellow – then when you peg out you washing it looks all nice and uniform. BTW if you DO peg out socks in pairs it makes it easy to pair as you unpeg ‘em – see – there is a method in our madness!
HollyH NOOOOO – remember Martin’s mantra – if it sounds too good to be true…every one I have ever heard of collapses!
Johanne – those character bowls (white ‘plastic’) are almost always made of Melamine which is NOT microwave safe. Hope you’re feeling a bit calmer now.
Well I think I've caught up with the thread. Thanks for your sterling efforts this afternoon Tag - we have converts and possible converts!
I have been into school so have been working hard there - but before I went I level 3'd my lounge - didn't do my hallway though. I have still to clean up properly in the kitchen but was waiting to get DS out of the way. GF back from hols  so he will be busy methinks! They don't go back until Tuesday. Another week:eek: .
Welcome Perfectlypoor - and anyone else I have omitted.

I'm falling asleep here, after another long day of meetings. It's been raining heavily and is really chilly, so now I'm home and wrapped up in a cardigan, I'm feeling really sleepy!
I'm too tired to do any flying tonight, but I'll do both days tomorrow - everyone else will be out, and I can do the master bedroom quickly!
greenbee - yes, teachers do a lot of planning. This is the first proper job since I did my returners' course, and the school has a whole new system as well. The department has the whole scheme of work online, and we have to submit detailed lesson plans a week in advance. As I'm nervous about doing it right, I shall be spending hours doing planning and getting resources together! Brilliant news today - they completely redid the timetable for languages, and I have lost all the Spanish classes, and now have two Year 7 French, and two Year 9 French! I am just so happy, and am now really looking forward to starting.
mumoffour - I was just horrified to hear that! Your DD is amazingly sensible and vrey brave. Give her a huge big hug from me, and I hope that you all enjoy your treat.
pigpen - huge best wishes for your sister.
We're having chinese tonight as an exam results celebration (bit postponed but nice to end the holiday on a high note) so I don't even have to cook. Just as well. They'd be having cheese sandwiches...
:hello:to everyone that I haven't mentioned by name! I have read all the posts, and enjoyed them, but when I'm tired, I am just so rubbish at remembering who said what!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

What are posh soft pegs? Will they inspire me to not only put my washing out but also remember to bring it in before it rains  Luckily I have the best neighbour in the world who has twice in the past week taken all of my washing in and dried it in her conservatory - bless her :A I aspire to be a neighbour like that one day, although in truth wouldn't really want to deal with my neighbours undies :rotfl: :rotfl:0
