I LOVE this thread!!
Having sat on my behind for the best part of the day (I couldn't even be bothered to get properly dressed, it being Sunday, the official jammy day), since reading this thread earlier, I have:
Sorted out all the magazines that have been lurking around the house, only this month's left to read
Organised all paperwork into To Do and Filing and recycled all junk paper
Cleared out a pile of books that were lurking under my bed into read and to be recycled or waiting to be read
Cooked dinner (DH did dshes, love him!)
Set up a new phone that's been sitting in the box waiting since June
Thank you, thank you, thank you, loving all this motivation.
Got another week left on holiday, now a woman on a mission to regain control of my home.MFW Challenge (Tgt Date Nov 07): ACHIEVED FEB 07!
Mthly Savings (Tgt 60% of Inc): Average 41.67% (but we have just paid for a new kitchen!)
Savings Goal £500k (Target Date 50th B'Day Nov 17): 30.41%0 -
Evening everyone!
Welcome to Newbies!!! Hugs to all who need them!!
Things are starting to get more organised in the ginger house thanks to this thread - I'm starting to look forward to knowing what the day is going to be so I can plan the evening when I get home from work ( is that very sad???!!!)
Today we have:
thrown away some stuff from the eaves in the garage including a box of stuff from when we had our new kitchen 8 years ago!!
packaged up the last ebay parcel (payment finally came through)
filled in DSs passport renewal form (requiring a degree in astro-physics to work out the 5 accompanying leaflets!)
cooked and cleaned up for sunday dinner
washed and ironed clothes and put them away
Still to do this week:
3 x brownie unit accounts (Valli - do you have your stick handy!!:rotfl:)
level 2 each night (except for Thursday cos I'm going to see Madonna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
3 evenings of 20 minutes on Wii fit and keep drinking more water!
While we're on the confessions - I am so sad that I will switch the lights on and off with different switches to get them all the same way!!!

I'm yawning so am off to bed. Tomorrows list will have to be a surprise.
Night all :wave:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Just a quick post, I've been so busy that I haven't had time to read the thread before now. This morning I did some preparation for this week, and then cooked Sunday lunch - blackberry and apple crumble for dessert - yum!
After lunch, I whizzed down to the allotment, and picked the vegetables for the week, and also a punnet each of raspberries and blackberries. Straight home, changed and downtown with DD who fancied going out for a wander, and bought myself another pair of black trousers, as I have put on weight over the summer holiday and the other pair are too tight.
Home, took up hem of trousers, finished planning for the week, and caught up with the thead!
Oh, I forgot to say earlier in the week. I grew some chillies this year, and they've done really well. However, they are far too hot for us! If anyone would like some, pm me your address and I'll pop some in the post!
Valli - Good luck for tomorrow! I feel like that too!
ssl - Wishing you happiness in your new home!
rach - welcome back!
Hi to all the newbies!
Hugs to sexymouse! Off to bed with a hot water bottle and a trashy novel! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Evening everyone!
Welcome newbies... come on in, the water's fine!!!
I want to agree with what the others have said. And to add, don't try and do too much, that way you end up feeling defeated and demoralised. If you can follow our glorious leader pigpen's lists each day, it makes a massive difference to your world.
Also, post your achievements, however small and get the praise you so richly deserve, post your lack of motivation, and get a kick up the bum, post your sadnesses and get the sympathy you need.
BTW the American Flylady site is a little extreme, IMHO, this thread is a little more straightforward, and pragmatic... again, just my opinion, for what it's worth.
My house was a tip. I worked incredibly hard rushing about doing hundreds of things all over the house, but never getting anywhere. This way I do concentrated jobs in one or two rooms, working much less than I did before... result, clean and tidy house! Fab :T
And, when I've had a crappy week, like this one, and the Flying has dropped off, actually, the house still looks pretty reasonable, and I'm not too bothered, cos I know I can start again this week :j :j
HTH
In case anyone wondered.... The nettle curry was delish. I blended it so the nettle leaves weren't detectable by the children... it tastes just like spinach... but free :money: :j :j I'll be doing that again!!!!!

AnW'sMum, you're a genius, why didn't I think of that? I shall have a look to see if I can find one now. Actually, I think they gave me a booklet thing, I'll see if I can find that too, or ring some of the other Mam's I have numbers for in the morning.
Think I'm going to bed soon too, caught his man flu and feel cack, think I will see what drugs I can find in the cupboard first. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Ironing all done for the week now (I only iron on Sunday evenings - takes upto 2 hours but that is it for the week and I watch tv whilst doing it).
Serena wow you have done loads, well done on the chillies - I don't like them but I'm impressed
Soappie - I feel like that about catfood with peas and carrots in - cats do not need peas and carrots. I think mouse flavoured food would be a good idea - a cat would not catch it's own lamb would it.
Right book to cover now for DS1 he finds that sort of thing too tricky - he is not great at fiddly things and it will get wrecked in his bag without the sticky stuuf - I'll pretend I'm a blue peter presenter! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Lil_me I hope your DS gets on well tomorrow. I've got that feeling you get before you get a cold this evening so hope I'm not coming down with something especially as AF is due a stayThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
