    Should I do the ironing???

I've had a rubbish week of flying however an extremely productive weekend thus far :j Should I do the ironing after I've cleaned out the chucks/ bathroom and had a bath or not!!! I can't currently think of any good reasons to do it

Nah don't do it! There's never any good reasons to iron, unless you're gonna meet the Queen.

Thanks Rach - I've done them but twice my brain wanted to either A: bung the carrots in without peeling them, and B: open a tin of carrots lmao aren't I just AWFUL guiltysmiley.gif I did however just bung a bag of new spuds in the pan without doing anything to them, pah the cooking will kill anything off, same with the cabbage :A

Well, I've surprised myself today. Having been determined NOT to sit in the computer chair all day (after yesterday's marathon effort on that report which has now, Hurrah! been emailed off) I've achieved flying things!

I've sorted out the piles and piles of stuff on the kitchen table that's been accumulating over the last couple of weeks. I've compiled the returns for the street collection I did last week. I've done two loads of washing. Sorted out a serious hotspot in the second hallway (mostly old paperwork which has gone into the recycle bin :o). I have deep cleaned the bath (instead of giving it a cursory rub round). I have retidied up the cupboard under the stairs (so I could put the collecting buckets away again :o). I've saved some jobs for the week just so I don't get out of the habit :rotfl:

But, it feels good getting on top of things again. Beef is now roasting so I've just got to sort out veg for dinner.

Yes and that is why at times I simply feel like giving up!

When you are on top of it it's lovely, like spinning plates but as soon as is starts to slip it's like dropping all the plates.
    .

OMG dusty that is just how I felt earlier on. Went to say hello to my friend's horses for a couple of hours. Came back and it didn't look quite so bad as dh has made dinner! The children have finished their rooms and my workstation is all set up and swanky. I have my own mini office! xx

Feeling proud of myself and OH - just made up my packed lunch for tomorrow (just in case I get called for supply) as well as an extra sandwich for the next day, using OH's homemade (packet breadmix done by hand) sunflower seed bread and tuna mayonnaise (John West was on offer in Mr T).

So, inside my lunchbox I have:
    • Tuna mayo sandwich,
    • grapes,
    • basic range peach melba yoghurt,
    • a small montana chocolate bar
    • and a packet of Hoola hoops (bought on bogof a couple of weeks ago).
Not doing too badly on the health or moneysaving front there. If I don't get called for supply in the morning, I'm going to get up early anyway so that I get into the habit, and try to squeeze in a HHE using the workout video I used the other day before I eat breakfast, so that I'm burning dinner calories off, as well as some HHCs to get all of the flying under control - may try to get a headstart tonight if pigpen puts up the new thread soon, as OH is out at his gun club, and I'm all by my own again. I'm determined to get in shape before our holiday in November.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Valli - i've always been a convert but I swore i'd never go back after 'the incident'. The £29 wall mounted station is MINE, ALL MINE....it's too fab. It's got my ihome on the top of it, glass of wine to my right and i'm typing away. I'm like a kid at christmas! I've been called for dinner but i'm going NOWHERE!!!!

    {note to self - get a life!!!}

Welcome to all the lovely new posters  xx
