    Xmas Saver!
Off to butlins minehead on the 3rd for a week. Got half board at a bargain £620 so not much food to buy. Hoping this keeps spends down. Annoying thing is I budgetted for the holiday and spending money but then as usual things went pear shaped and now little spending money left. I will do new SOA when I get back and go from there. Try not to spend too much before then and keep up the ebay sales. Thing is part of the prob is I lent a friend money and she is really struggling so not likely to see that back as soon as I would like/had planned. A bit annoying but Im way better off than her so I can live without it. She is struggling just to buy food at the moment so trying to give all money saving tips I can.

Sounds fantastic break and half board makes a difference, its the meals that add up. Hopefully the ebay sales will fly out and add the pennies back.
See told u, u have a heart of gold, even with everything ur helping a friend out. xx

  • Feeling very low at the moment. Tired of everything. Not looking forward to the holiday or the rest of the year just more things to budget for that I seem hopeless at. Well I budget then cant stick to it. Going to see the doc again but not sure what they can do.

Sorry things are so bad hun. Believe me, I recognise that bleak feeling that nothing is worth anything. All I can say is that it will pass, and there are little things we can do - making sure we get outside in daylight hours, for instance, even if its sitting outside doing breathing exercises. Drinking enough water - dehydration causes lots of problems. I hope the holiday *does* help once you get there. Lots of hugs, sweetie.

Hope ur feeling better, youve had a lot on ur plate, and its no wonder that ur getting down.

The holiday will do you all the world of gd, re the budget, if you asked 100 people at least 90 of them would say the budget doesnt balance at the end of the month, maybe when u redo the budget can you say do it as a month, but break it down to weekly. If you get pd monthly, then in theory u have 12 payments, but budgeting weekly (sets of 4), means there should be 13 payments, so maybe where there has been a 5 week month it throws you.
The cost of food has gone up, everything goes wrong at the wrong time, yet ur still expected to be superwoman, and even superwoman needs a day off xx

Sad that you are not looking forward to your hols - they can be a work up though however once you get there it will be great. I agree with mum2one on breaking down monthly money to weekly to find the flippin 5 weekers. We have ours worked out till December on our spreadsheet so we can see when our money has to go further - next one will be July/Aug - just right for school hols!?!
Only 18 days left for us till hols and counting....
  • Thank you for all your kind posts. It really helps.

Yesterday was ok pottered about the house. Was a bit up and down mood wise. Spoke to OH who was understanding so that was good. Never quite sure how he'll react when I talk to him. Still not that optomistic ref the future still feel a bit roboty and going through the motions hopefully I can change that.

Had a goods night sleep and going to "work" from home today I havent got much on so think I need to spend sometime at homewith kids at school. Another small sale on ebay and OH gave me the money he owes. Spent £55 on shopping Sat of which £11 due back and £6 was for goggles so actual grocery spends not too bad just not monitoring them closly enough. NSD yesterday and plan the same today. Want to get some household jobs done with OH and maybe go for a walk.

Ill ring the Docs but TBH I think I need to make changes to my lifestyle really like really try to eat better and do some excerise I think the poor eating assists the mood swings and exercise should help with the feel good factor

    So aims are as above:
House work with OH - sort out car boot stuff for next weekend
Exercise - walking and/or sit ups if I can get OH to put thing back together
    NSD
    Work when needed
See if collegues who are in town want to do lunch
DONT sleep in the day it doesnt help
Try not to dwell on things

Ill let you know how I get on and if it helps
