  • Busy but good day. Enjoyed work but exhausted when I got back so although I was good and put a chicken in the slow cooker this morning I was too shattered to cook anything to go with it. OH kindly went and picked up some chips and sorted the chicken. Feeling better now I have a rest, paracetamol and food.

New fancy budget on spreadsheet up to help monitor spends etc more closely. Vary happy with that :D .

Best news for me is not the TV but the £777 paid off the MBNA card today. When the £25 dd goes out next week that will be gone completely and there shouldnt be any interest :j .

20% cleared off my original LBM Debt figure and £1250 in the savings account to cover TV and annual costs. Fancy spreadsheet says I need a bit more so need to monitor that. not overspend and make extra where possible. Only things that may cuase problems are the renewed tax credit which will go down and I am kinda hoping for a small payrise to cover. If not then I may have to rethink.

Still waiting to get 13 points on pigsback to get £20 vouchers and £10 still intransit from valued opinions. Body shop excess will help with birthdays and to raise a bit of cash as well.

Off to phone Mum to [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] ask if she has sorted the gas/electris bills out.

Thats brilliant news on clearing the MBNA card, well done, would say that deserves a treat, but think the TV does the treat justice.

  • Its very big. OH having a great time. Spends have been good although not NSDs. £80 today on school dinners, £2.40 yesterday on chips and £5 the day before on car wash.

Work going well although they want me back full time next week . Dont mind but a bit apprehensive. Good start is that I have nothing booked for the first three days of next week.

First part of treat to self booked for Wednesday. My neighbour going to cut and highlight hair. Usually only do it twice a year and its half the price of the shops. Not sure when Im going to fit in the facial etc but when I do it will be cheap because Ill use the college. I think a facial is something like £12.

  • Good day today meeting was boring but useful finished at 1.00 then went for a drink with a couple of colleagues - which is very rare. It was a pub very close to home so I could park up and walk. Ended up not leaving until 4:D . OH not impressed I think he is jealous but I dont care because its not often I go out. Not sure of cost think it was no more than a tenner so not too bad. I only had two pints which with the medication was more than enough just cleared the headache:o !

MBNA payment doesnt seem to have gone though  so Ill ring them tomorrow. Another £40 received from quidco so £85 due at month end :j .

    Plans for weekend are:
    • DS party tommorow - need card and pressie not sure if I have any boy pressies in stock pile.
    • Clean kitchen and a bit more decluttering - mainly cupboards this time.
    • Bake and prep some meals for the week ahead - cant keep living of rubbish in the evenings because Im tired - vicious circle.
    • Speak to Mum and Sis
    • Rest, relax and sleep

It did eat up the rest of the bonus which is a pain. Budget should be ok for the year but do need to be careful.

Good for you going out with work colleagues, if anyone deserves a treat thats you, u do a damm gd job, dont mean just work, but family, debt busting, being chief judge in the house, peacemaker for the children, and I think you deserve more than 2 pints........
You try and get some rest over the weekend, I know easier said than done..... but if your going back full time, u make sure u get chance to get proper rest breaks, and if you can get away for your lunch break, even if its a 2min work round the block, sorry leature over!!

  • Aarrgh flaming family. My kids are so selfish at times DD2 who used to appreciate stuff has spent all day whinging about jobs I ask her to do and what stuff she hasnt done, wants to do etc. OH whinged last night that Im still closing myself away as I now use my worklaptop upstairs to go online. He is so needy - get a life  and stop clinging to me!!!!!!!!!

I know Im being selfish, I do try to have me time and me things but I spend most time thinking about the family. I didnt want the telly I did it to try and show him I care and that he does have a say in the finances and that he derserves a treat as well. As for the kids do they think a week at Butlins is top of my holiday list?? Id rather scrimp and save more to be debt free.

Kids think Im lazy (just watch tv, go on internet) and not as clever as daddy. Guess Im feeling very unapprieciated right now.

    Spends: £5 birthday pressie
