I have been naughty and opened one of my OHs statements. He wont notice becuae he never opens then just relying on cccs to sort everything. Well for this one the payment of 5.64 was credited and then a payment charge of 9.80 ish was debited so he now owes £3more than last month . I think that bankruptcy would be better for him as the cccs plan isnt actually getting anywhere it might if he bothered to look at things and try to stop charges. I could then get extra cash for the house becuase things are tight now. I know there is the luxury of a holiday and a reasonable xmas/birthday budget but its not that extravagant is it?
Dont know how to bring thisup because he gets angry when I do. Im not sure how Bancruptcy will work for him but I have read that social payments should not be used or DLA. This is all he has coming in. The only costs he has is the £140 a month CCCS DMP and £100 to me every four weeks. The rest is for himself although he does buy the odd thing for kids and the house. Would the OR/Judge expect me to continue this? If he was alone then he wouldnt be able to pay for the DMP.
I wouldnt mind if I felt the DMP was actually making headway but I feel its just endless money going nowhere.:j0 -
Have to say I tend to agree with you Kp.
How long has your OH to go with the CCCS?
It seems that £140 is a lot of money anyway when he only has benefit income.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Hes been with CCCS almost a year now and just over a yeear with a fee charginf DMP firm. Ive no idea TBH how long he has left he wont really tell me anything. Im not too sure he pays attention. Like I said if I felt he was making headway then I would be fine I just fear not much is happening and since his credit rating is ruined anyway why fuss about bancruptcy. Part of me wishes I could have a clean slate but my work is finacial based so not for me if I dont want to change careers.
Not done too bad on the list since I did s*d all until 4 except bath, sleep and watch telly! Seen Mum, washed up and wiped kitchen surfaces and cooked dinner.:j0 -
Difficult one KP.

Can you sit down and chat about it in a non confrontational way? You do need to know how going br could affect you though as assume if youre married you are financially linked...hope you get some chill time tonight!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! No not married or financially linked. Got rid of the last link last year as I was being refused credit even with a good record.
Need to pick a time to talk just nervous about his responce. I wouldnt mind going after the charges for him as Im sure his debt is pretty much all charges now any way but he wouldnt let me .:j0 -
Then I think you need to sit down and explain how its affecting you...cant understand why hes so reluctant to ask for help - surely thats what being in a couple is?...sounds to me like youre damned if you do and damned if you dont...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
